Funimation HD - Is it live in Central Ohio??

I am new to this board, but not new to Uverse.  I am subscribed to the HD Premium Level and am wondering if any fellow Central Ohioans are getting the Funimation Channel yet.  It still says I am not subscribed to the channel.  I did call tech support and they said it was live in Ilinois, but not showing up in Ohio.  That was 2 weeks ago.  I was hoping to watch some Anime.

The channel is live for everyone who is subscribed to the HD Premium Tier Package ($5/month).  If you are sure that you are subscribed to this package, try to reboot your DVR/STB.  If you still cannot access the channel, call Technical Support again.

I meant to say I am subscribed to the HD Premium Tier not level.  I have rebooted the DVR.  Looks like I'll be calling tech support again.  Thanks for the info.

I am able to access the other 9 channels which is why it is a mystery as to why I haven't been able to get this channel. I am being put in touch with Level 2 Tech Support.  Hopefully they can solve this mystery.

When I rebooted one of my boxes, it said content loading soon and then told me I needed to subscribe to the channel.  I am keeping my fingers crossed.

The Level 2 Tech support told me he talked to upper level support and they told him that currently the Funimation Channel is not in my geographic area based on my zip code.  I didn't think that geographic area restrictions applied to the HD Premium Tier.  Currently there is nothing they can do to turn on the channel.  I was told that it is coming to my zip code.

If you're not getting Funimation HD, don't worry about it. You are not missing a thing.

Funimation HD is channel 1484.  For those who live anime, which the OP does, it's a great channel.

I don't understand the restriction either.  The tech couldn't explain it either other than it wasn't live in my area.  Hopefully some other Columbus, OH residents will post.  I would really like to know if it is live in our general area.

Just out of curiosity, enter your zip code in the link below to see if Funimation appears on the channel listing for your area.

U-verse Channel Lineup

It doesn't show up in that particular line-up tool, but it does appear in another  channel line-up tool.  When I go to the AT&T Shop section of the site and use that line-up tool, it appears.  http://www.att.com/u-verse/shop/index.jsp#fbid=JKwEJCNtKO1  There is a link to see the complete channel line-up and it appears in that one with my zip code.  I can't seem to get a good answer from tech support as to why I can't get this channel when I am paying for the HD Premium Tier.  Maybe it'll show up one day.  Who knows at this point..lol.

it is live here in marietta,ga its pretty good chan been watching... you can go here http://www.funimation.com/ they have episodes and what not there

Todd.. whomever told you it is limited by Zip Code or whatever is full of BS.  National channels like Funimation HD are limited by packages.. not geographical restrictions... geographical restrictions only applies to sports and those "national channels" that have local affiliates.. (you'll see that with the Spanish language channels Univision, Telemundo, Telefutura, etc.). There may be some others.. but not an HD Priemium Tier channel. (Please ensure you have the HD Priemum Tier)

If you are not receiving the channel and have done a reboot, contact CS and tell them you are missing a channel that you are paying for and don't take that geo limitation BS.  Your account is set up wrong in their provisioning system.

Let us know if that if that works out..

DT, if you look back earlier in the thread, you will see that he did a reboot but it did not work. 

The thing that I find odd is that when he enters his zip code into the channel lineup website, Funimation HD is not shown on the channel listing.  It is for my zip, but not his.  Very strange.

it was live in lousiana yesterday. something is fishy if you subscribe to the hd teir but are not getting this channel!! how did your call to the csr's go ??

I live here in Central Ohio, and as of 6pm, I now have it.  Not sure when it showed up.

Thank you all for you input.  I agree Dead Terrorist that their explanation was BS..lol.  They way they were explaining it didn't set well with me.  Anyway, The channel is finally live.  I saw that gcotton was getting it so I figured I must be getting it too.   Maybe my lengthy call last Friday  was enough to make wonder why it wasn't live for those who were paying for the HD Premium Tier.
