None of the other forums cover this - at least not in the past 4 years! I am in Chicago, zip code 60625 - and I see posts from 4 years ago asking about the higher speed UVerse products coming
Still capped at 3 Mbps here and just wondering if anyone has any info on when 12, 18, or 24 Mbps might realistically make it to the North Side of the City???
Thanks
Mike

Its really all down to the equipment they have in the area and how far away from said equipment you are. The US is a pretty big network to be constantly upgrading and expanding even just the 20-25 states Uverse is available in. They're usually pretty mum on any upgrades until they're actually ready to be deployed, just in case something comes up and they arent ready when they thought they'd be is my guess.

You should be able to get it already. How high it can go is dependent on your distance to the VRAD / DSLAM.
Call the support number on teh front of the STB, they should be able to do it or refer you to someone that can.

I live out in the far NW burbs (not too far from Great America) and I currently have 12Mbps service, and my line is capable of up to 24Mbps service if I want to upgrade.

Chicago (the city proper) is a bit behind the 'burbs.
I believe that zip has been enabled for the higher data rate service (subject to line distance and quality).

I'm in Chicago at 60620 and am signed up for up to 12 Mbps service. Under "Broadband Status" in my modem configuration it's showing that I'm actually getting 4 Mbps. One of the techs I spoke to said that that's probably all I can get. So why was I allowed to order (via phone) service and pay for something I'm not capable of getting?! My regular DSL gave me this.
