I can't find any instructions in the help pages about how to change my voice mail message from a phone other than my home phone. On my old service, I could do this and in fact, most of the time I changed my voice mail message on my home phone line from my office phone, not my home phone. When I dial remotely, it looks like the only option is to listen to the messages. Am I correct that this just isn't possible when ATT? If not correct, where are the instructions? Thanks.

You can change your greeting remotely by dialing from any touch tone phone:
1. Dial your home number. When you hear your voice mail message, press *
2. Enter your voice mailbox PIN when prompted
3. Press 4 for Mailbox settings
4. Press 3 for greetings or recorded name
5. Press 1 to review current greeting
6. Press 1 to change greeting

Almost correct. Step 6 should have been "Press 2 to change greeting."
My question is, why isn't this info on the help/faq system for Voice Mail. Am I really the only person to ever need to know this? I am a new customer of ATT, and I already have a case of buyer's remorse. It took nearly 30 minutes to change my voice mail. The system kept blacking out and going dead, and I would have to call and start the process all over again. I know this isn't your responsibility, but I hope an ATT employee reads this and does something about doing a better job of explaining how to operate the voice mail system. It seems to me that there is just no excuse for not telling people how to change the message on their voice mail.

Pressing 1 to review the current greeting just takes me to another menu of options. According to an AT&T rep just a few minutes ago, there is no way for a user to review the voicemail greeting. The only way to hear it is to call yourself.

Not true, you need to take it one step further and press 1at the prompt to record or change greeting. This worked for me, I tried it, twice. See my post here http://forums.att.com/t5/Features-and-How-To/Unabl

On my previous provider, I would receive an email notification and I could read the emails. Is that feature with Uversse Voice too? I get an email notifying me that I have an VM and from who and their # but then I have to log in to hear it.
thanks!

You are going to have to log in to get the message. I believe, the most automatic you can make it is to load the app on your computer or portable device. When you access the app it automatically does the login (not always, but usually). Then you can read the message or listen to it.
