So, I'm working on my laptop, doing a search, and the phone rings. I answer the phone and look at my screen: the search results has ruened into a "page cannot be displayed" page and the little green wireless icon is now yellow. I can't pull up anything.
This has happened before when the phone has rung...but not always. I can think of instances where I have called people and chatted away while still being online.
If you have any thoughts, tips or techniques...please don't get too technical on me. LOL!
And thanks anyway.

Thanks for all suggestions! I called the TS# as suggested and was asked if my phone was wireless. The answer was yes and he told me to change the channel on it a couple of times and that should solve the problem. Something about both systems trying to use the same channel at the same time or something. Over my head so someone else changed the channel on the phone but we have yet had a chance to test it.

We get most calls on our cells. So the home phone doesn't ring that often and that's why it's hard for me to keep track but I'm beginning to think that there is a problem with one phone# because it definitely happens then but not with others.
It's really odd, and annoying. But I'm not inclined to go to the trouble of CS, making appointments...right now.
<<VOIP I can't say it is a high resistance short...which would be for POTS and the RG would drop sync>>
I have no idea what you're saying, LOL! But yes, the TV is working fine all the time.
Thanks for the interest, and any help

I had the same issue as you are having when we had cordless phones in the 2.4Ghz range. This is the range the wireless uses to communicate between your computer and AT&T Residental Gateway. Look at your cordless handset and or the base unit and it should tell you the frequency. I only had the problem when I answered or was on the phone sitting at the computer.
Changed out to the DECT model AT&T HomeManager and have never had a problem since. If you need to change them get one in the 5.8Ghz range or the DECT 6.0 range and you should not have any other issues.

Just FYI:
2.4GHz Cordless Phone Frequencies
Third generation 2.4GHz cordless phones have been allocated the frequencies between 2.4Ghz and 2.4835Ghz, with a channel spacing of 5MHz.
The 2.4GHz cordless phone frequencies are shared with 802.11b and 802.11g wireless networks.
