If it's not giving the current temperature, you mean not exactly as outside where you are? Or it's not customized (by you) for your area?
Mine is not dead-on accurate as it is coming from The Weather Channel and whatever location they are monitoring. Houston is BIG, so it's never going to be accurate. 
If you haven't already, you can pick the city/Zip Code you want to display on-screen from your Yahoo page. I don't know the limit we can display--I'm using 4.

I'm sure I'll get some interesting replies with this, but doesn't everyone receive their local channels already? One of the frequent complaints that I read was about knowing when severe weather alerts were issued. Don't your local channels already have this? In my area, if the National Weather Service issues an alert than both the Weather Channel and local channels show it. Also, how many of us actually have U-verse without internet service bundled or no internet service at all? I would doubt that there is very many. Why then is it so hard to use the Weather Channel website? The Weather Channel never has the local on the 8's on the 8's anymore in my area anyways, mostly when they show all those horrible weather story shows in the evening. I have actually found it faster to just go to the website instead when this is the case or when it is ten minutes after the hour. (You guys seriously wait around until the next 8 minutes after the hour instead of going online?

(Example: The U-bar is in all the promotional materials, but it has not even been released in all areas yet). Just my two cents. If I am getting ready to go out and need to see what might be coming up weatherwise, I don't want to have to stop and boot up my computer to see what is showing on the website. I'm sure for those who keep their computers on, it's fine, but not everyone keeps theirs on 24/7.
Yes, it is something we had with cable and yes, we all feel it is something we should be able to have with U-verse, along with more than one HD stream and WHDVR.
The local on the 8's is every 8 minutes, not just 8 minutes after the hour. And what it shows for me is right in the area will I will be going to. I like to have that and I miss it.
Plus, it is actually more convenient than the local weather from our local news stations. Those are on only at certain times, unless there is severe weather coming in, then they take everything over and you see nothing for an hour!!!
Furthermore, in my area (Cleveland) I would not trust the local websites weather pages from some of our NBC, ABC channels. etc. I went to look at one after seeing a severe weather alert from TWC and their site had absolutely NO information at all!!! It wasn't as if the warning was only a few minutes old either. It had been issued hours earlier.
Ox, it isn't OCD, it's just plain common sense and something that we had before, therefore, I see no reason why AT&T can't provide for it now too. Yes, I realize that there are other things we had before and are not getting now too, like AMC TV, but this is something that should be available to everyone.

(I agree about not everyone keeping the computer on, but unless you catch the Weather Channel at 8:08, 8:18, ect. throughout the hours of the day, you are still waiting around just to catch the weather).

(This is irrelevant and doesn't address anything I said...I never said use your locals on a regular basis, only that they do a good job of notifying you about severe weather...In fact, you actually prove one of my points by saying that the local channels obsess over severe weather).

(Let me get this straight...You cite going to one of the weather websites for the local news channels? I never suggested that, and I am not sure if you are suggesting that I did...I suggested that everyone go to the Weather Channel website which is just as accurate as the TV channel...You going to the local weather websites proves that it would have been just as easy in your case to go to the Weather Channel website).
Ox, it isn't OCD, it's just plain common sense and something that we had before, therefore, I see no reason why AT&T can't provide for it now too. (I don't see why this is common sense. This is a new service, using a relatively new medium (at least for AT&T), and is not coming from a cable company. If the satellite companies took so long to satisfy customers about this (I'm not sure they fully have), than why do you expect AT&T to instantly have this ready for its customers? I'm actually impressed that AT&T is already giving us the local affiliates of the big 4 networks. To tell you the truth, it sounds like we will never get the local TWC channels...It looks like we will get the ability to see local radar or even pull up TWC's website on our TV's...This would, of course, be ironic because you guys will eventually get TWC but not in the way anyone expected. Off topic and just speculation, but I don't believe Microsoft's involvement with AT&T is coincidental. They are still determined to get you browsing the web on your TV's using their technology and having all-in-one entertainment centers. I'm just waiting for the announcement of the Xbox integration to come around in a few years...jk)

I have read quite a few of your posts throughout the forums and have seriously appreciated your insight. I just wanted to point out some clarification and make sure that I was being represented accurately. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. In respect of the original thread's desire to keep to one post, I will let go of my discussion on this topic and will leave this thread alone unless I feel the need to clarify the representation of what I said.

I wasn't angry, just giving my point of view, that's all. And I don't believe you were personally attacking me either.
I went to the local website though because their radar setup was better than what TWC had, with either the old or new version of the radar and it is easier to use with my ancient dinosaur of a computer. I can use the new radar over at TWC but it takes forever for it to load up.
By the way, I'm with ya for sure on the AMC TV. I want that before the weather stuff and I am really looking forward to the WHDVR too. Not overly concerned with the 2 streams of HD, although it would be nice so hubby doesn't have to keep asking me...are you recording an HD channel???
Sorry Spd, but much as I want the locals on the 8's, I really want the other stuff first.
One thing I will say, Uverse is still the best we have seen for our entertainment value in a long time!! 
I don't think anyone who doesn't care about LOT8s has anything to worry about as they've made their intentions pretty clear. Even though Sales lied about it (what else is new in that area?).
Ubar is WRONG most of the time, which makes no sense as it's getting it's info from TWC.
Having LOT8s might get more cable subscribers to come over to UV though.

It Ubar wrong or is it correct for where they are taking the measurements? I don't live near the NWS station in Cleveland (I'm about 20 miles from the airport) so their weather observations can be much different than what I see at my home.
