That is not true. A number of other providers carry AMC HD.

Is it possible Tigercub was not trying to be deceptive in that statement? And is simply passing on information based on their experience? Or information that was not accurate? It is interesting how fellow forum members will say "That is not true" like someone is blatantly lieing.
I am not saying you are doing this TG, because I have read enough of your posts to have a reasonable idea where you are coming from. The link you posted is good, and I think your point could have been made effectively without that one sentence. I hope you don't take this as a criticism because it isn't.
Just a thought.

Hmmm. Don't think I agree, RC.
He didn't appear to say it in a nasty way. It was very simply stated: "That is not true." Well, it's NOT true.
I think you're inferring something that isn't there.

I think you should reread my post. And what I said to TG specifically. In case you missed it here it is.

I did, but I'm still not getting why you think saying "That is not true" is a problem.

I was not being nasty, direc tv dish network and wow do not carry Amc Hd, Comcast and their affiliates do I want it as much as you but you can't have what is not offered. I have a friend who works for Att and they signed a three year deal with Rainbow but are hoping to negotiate on the hd option sooner than later. I have no hidden agendas just facts.

While I don't get to worked up over TV programming I did feel Texas Guy was showing attitude, but that is his problem not mine. U-verse is not perfect any company isn't so I guess that's life

Attitude? Your statement was not true. AMC HD is offered by Verizon FIOS, Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Cable, Charter, Cablevision, Brighthouse, Mediacom, Suddenlink, and Insight. I'm sorry if you felt that me correcting your statement was "attitude". I was simply correcting an incorrect statement of fact. It has nothing to do with U-verse being a perfect or imperfect company. It is simply a statement of fact.

Would you care to explain how all these companies have ties to Comcast?

The answer is that all these companies do not have ties with Comcast. Do some research.

I have seen no one say that U-verse has AMC HD.
Also, I'm sure what's upsetting you about the TV providers that I mentioned. I simply asked how are all those companies tied to Comcast as you stated that they were.

Far as I know, not a single one of those has "ties" (whatever that means) to Comcast.

Well AT&T...
You are going to drop all of these channels on us. OK. Are your plans to just proceed as usual and put the savings that you will not spend on new contracts and service for us? Or are you going to offer us more channels. for what we are paying for.
I signed up for my package with x amount of well known channels. Is this good business just to drop them after you have my money, time, and investments moving all of my Internet, telephone etc to you.
My family had the first telephone in Fort Worth, Dr. Julian Field. We have quite a bit of stock in AT&T as well. But I think your business practices are atrocious as your dividends show!
I am willing to switch back to another service. Business is Business. If you cannot provide you get eaten. You will lose people on u verse, and our stocks will no nothing once again!
Why don't you try something new... Keep your customers happy. perhaps the Rainbow network is going to charge you more. You have deep pockets. suck it up and make a few dollars less right now and not disenfranchise more customers than you already have and are going to do. you seem to forget that word of mouth goes a lot further than any commercial!
A concerned user and Stockholder.

My, my, my, another OPW that has no clue. Rainbow media and AT&T reached a deal already and it was in AT&Ts favor as AMC is now being rolled out in ALL areas. All providers have contract disputes DTV took versus off the air for quite a while.

It would be nice if this thread was locked. It is no longer relevant. IMHO To see it floated back up is getting to be a drag.
