Not necessarily, just another hard-ball effort by Rainbow Media to extort more money from ATT. Or ATT is standing fast about getting ALL users these channels in all markets and that is the sticking point. Don't think ATT is gonna let these channels get away. ![]()

I hope you're right! I do enjoy watching an occasional movie on these channels & would be disappointed if we lost them.

Chris
Could be they are hanging tough to get the rights to carry the HD channels. I know there has been a lot of chatter about AMC HD.. I hope they are able to iron this out as everyone hates losing channels..

I am just wondering. I see a lot of people like AMC so I tried to watch it to see what the fuss was about. The channel was so full of commercials I could not enjoy any programing on this network. Has something changed or have they cut done on the commercials?

If Railbow Media will stop playing hardball. ATT will able to added AMC HD and IFC HD to their National Channel Line Up. Right now am watching Mad men in HD via TPB.

Rainbow media probably feels they can play hardball with the premiere of season four of Mad Men beginning in late July. Just guessing....

Are you kidding? Watching AMC is like having your movie to go along with your commercials. A few nights ago, they showed The War Wagon. It ran for 2 1/2 hours total. I figure that about an hour of that was commercials.

That is the issue I have with commercial networks airing movies. A few years ago I watched movies on TCM and AMC without commercials. I guess they want to make money.![]()

Just received a message on the telly --
"We are fighting for you. Our AMC, IFC, and WE contracts may expire on 7/14. We want fair prices and to reach a good deal for you, but may be forced to remove these channels due to their unreasonable demands.
For more info go to utalk.att.com/fighting4you "
please don't get rid of AMC

My most favorite show on t v is Mad Man which is on AMC. Also I love all those stations. I really hoping this works out I pay alot of money to at least have the stations I like to have.

DO NOT LOSE AMC!
I will seriously consider canceling my service with att/uverse if you drop AMC.
They have two of the best shows on television and some good movies to boot.
Forget about a tennis channel, sports channel 600. Who cares?!

AMC, IFC are way more important then tennis or some of the other obscure stations. I might consider dropping ATT Uverse if they loose AMC, IFC channels. I'd like to know what they mean by " unreasonable".

My priority list is still:
1. Time of day and time-limits parental controls (simple software/firmware issue!)
2. MLB Network
3. Some kind of cricket option
I can buy Mad Men from iTunes. Don't give a crap about the other channels. For the premium price we pay for ATT, we should get more. Internet speed especially is crap at peak hours. How dare ATT ask users to get up in arms and fighting on their behalf!

Please do not use AMC! I will have to seriously consider switching services if I can't get Mad Men (season 4 starts 11 days after this deadline). I would also like to see ATT add AMC on Demand and AMC HD.
Please don't get rid of programmin g!

I think this is ridiculous to remove these programs. We love these. There aren't any other channels that give you the movies. Why are they being so greedy? I don't understand the high price tag. Please explain to us so that we can get it. What ? Are they charging more because they're giving more or what? This STINKS!!! Are they doing this to all companies or just AT&T?

I cannot believe this is happening! I used to get AMC on my very limited cable package that came with my apartment. When I switched over to the very fancy, very expensive U-Verse package I never thought I would have to worry about access to very common and popular channels!
Mad Men was just nominated for 17 Emmy's and the new season starts on the 25th. You are going to have A LOT of very unhappy people if we lose AMC.

Seems like Uverse needs some better negotiators and kind of tacky to let customers know the network is being unreasonable with demands. Don't pull us into your business decisions, its your job to offer us the best programming for our money and losing Mad Men would be a huge blow. My internet is slower than it was before I had Uverse, our install was a nightmare and now this, not happy Uverse.

These channels are very important to us, especially to me. I enjoy these channels and if they are not available we will be forced to go back to Direct TV. WE were told that we would have the very same service as we had with Direct TV, so far that has not been true. Even the radio channels do not offer all that I had with Direct TV. So if we do not continue to have the service we were promised, we will have to change back. Thanks, Shirley Rush

Although AMC can be watchable with about a half-hour of commercials per ninety-minute film, and IFC has good, uninterrupted programming plus marketing, WE can go.

AMC used to be a great channel. Now, I wouldn't miss it at all. IFC? It's okay, nothing to write home about. WE? Eh.
All in all, let them go. Get RTV (Retro) instead. How about WBGH (Boston PBS)? DIY?
