MLB and SNY HD are a MUST!!!

U-Verse and anyone else out there reading this, the MLB Network is needed, I was shocked to learn my old slacker cable company added immediately but it's not on U-Verse.

Secondly, I am a DIE HARD METS FAN. If you are going to carry the YES Network in HD, carrying SNY in HD is a MUST!! It's available, another one of those channels my slacker cable company managed to offer, of course, right at the end of the regular season when my team was packing it up and going home but the first game of Spring Training is on 2/26/2009 1:10pm and I'm hoping I get to watch it in HD!!!!! If you're going to be in the NYC/Tri-State area, you have to cover ALL the teams, not just the Yank-me's !!

You will find a huge amount of support here for MLB. Why they don't have it yet is beyond belief. DirecTV and even my local Comcrap have it. Not surprising that DISH doesn't carry MLB, but for AT&T not to provide MLB is unbelievable. I like U-verse, but if no MLB by opening day 2009, I'm heading over to DirecTV.

I'm also a die hard Mets fan and am hoping for MLB as well as SNY in HD. Also I'm still wondering why they blackout the classic Mets games and specials like Shea Goodbye? Its pretty puzzling.

I'm with you and Paul416, You can't come into a multi team market and carry one team in HD and not the other, when it's DEFINITELY available. If the MLB network takes some time, I can deal with that. If I don't have SNY in HD by Opening Day, I'm going to have to make a switch. Of course I plan to BE at Citifield for opening day, haven't missed one in 9 years!!! And of course it will take a second mortgage on my house to afford tickets but I'll be there!!!  I need SNY, Gary, Keith and Ron in HIGH DEFINITION!!

Yes, the YES Network is in HD here and I know SNY offers high def as well because my old crappy cable company carried it. In fact, ALL the cable companies in my area offer both YES and SNY in HD so I hope AT&T follows suit!

I look at this forum every day hoping to see that SNY HD has been added to the channel listing.  I am hoping that everyone who wants to see SNY HD will respond to this post and express a hope that the channel will be added.  It is hard to be patient waiting for SNY HD to arrive.  How about adding SNY HD and MSG HD!

I've been asking for SNY in HD from the beginning, esp when I have both NESN and YES in HD.  Bu of course on the flip side Cox only offers SNY in ND (No Def) so I can deal.

I live in Columbus Ohio and we don't even get YES in HD, you would think that all uverse customers would at least get that but guess not.Thats disappointing but not as much as no SNY HD.

I know 2 people, obviously baseball fanatics, in St. Louis who are sticking with Charter because they carry the MLB network, and U-Verse doesn't. U-Verse should definitely add it!

I am in Columbus, and I only get FSN-OH HD.  This is because there really isn't a point in carrying all the other regional RSNs in HD.  All pro sporting events out of your region will be blacked out anyways.  To make a long story short, everyone only gets their regional sports networks in HD, and no other RSNs in HD

I agree, this is a call out there to anyone who's a METS FAN, WE NEED SNY HD!!! Call AT&T, post messages here, make as much noise as you can, remember the old saying, "The squeaky wheel gets the grease!!" It will be easy enough to check, the channel listing should be 1704 so check those guides. Come on AT&T, do the right thing!!!

I left Charter before they got the MLB Network and let me tell you, NOTHING will make me go back to them, MLB Network or not. It would definitely be nice to have, I'd love to have it but Charter's service is soooooooooooo bad, plus they only have 18 or so HD channels compared to U-Verse, it was very easy to say "Buh Bye!!!"

I too was shock to learn that COX cable in CT added the MLB network (even though they are charging for it). U-verse, if you truly want to be a superior product you have to at least match the cable companies.

U-verse was the only cable system in the Hartford CT area that offered SNY and at first was just happy to see the games. But watching the games in SD and seeing the Yankee(YES) and Red Sox(NESN) in HD is getting painful. If a channel offers HD service and the system carries the SD channel it should offer the HD channel too.

I'm sick of Dish taking away channels (Voom channels, GolTV) and having crappy customer service.  After almost nine years with Dish, U-Verse could potentially get my business.  You guys know what to do.

Well i have some news for you peeps on the MLB network.. Following a phone conversation with an AT&T agent, the MLB network is in the very near future lineup to be released. I don't want to get linched for lying so i am putting this all on her. But her quote was" MLB will be releasing hopefully first to mid feb. along with a new channel package.. Hope this tweaked some interest...

i'm out here on the left coast... and a huge huge METs fan. subscribed to u-verse with the HD package and sports package.

i noticed so many of the nba games were blacked out including the ones from the YES network. so i cancelled the sports package.

now that it is closing my opening day for MLB.... hellya, i want the extra innings package! or at the least MLB channel and SNY!!!!!!!

I'm new to AT&T U-verse from DirecTV in Los Angeles. With Baseball season coming where's MLB and Dodger station?

I practically only watch Baseball during the Summer and haven't missed a Dodger game on TV fo the last three years!

Seriously...is there any way to get the message to programming directors?  I've tried calling AT&T and the customer service reps simply tell me to "check for updates every few weeks."

I just called SportsNet New York and asked if AT&T will be adding SNY in high definition soon.  I was told that AT&T has not approached them for the high definition feed.  I was told that AT&T does not seem interested in adding SNY HD to their channel lineup. This is very upsetting news!  I have four major problems with my AT&T service. 

1) no SNY HD (available on Direct TV)

2) no MSG HD (available on Direct TV)

3) no caller ID on the television (available on Direct TV)

4) poor caller ID on the telephone in that you cannot see who is beeping in when on the phone.

Although there is much to like about U-verse, my plan is to switch to Direct TV by April 1st, keep the AT&T Internet and get rid of U-verse Voice and go back to the original land line. 

I have subscribed to U-verse televison since September 2007 and I feel that I have waited long enough considering there is alternative that will solve my four main issues.

I hear everyone's pain and it echo's my own. I saw on another board that you can go to mlbnetwork.com and enter your zip code looking for the channel in your area, it will list the providers offering it, and those who aren't. You can then click on AT&T and mlbnetwork will send them a letter from you, requesting that AT&T add the channel. The person who put up the post is doing it daily, I'm going to do the same. AND I'm going to call AT&T customer service DAILY to request SNY in HD. It's ABSURD that a provider would come into a market with TWO teams and only carry one in HD, absolutely absurd and I'm going to tell them that. And, I'm going to have to think about leaving. We can't just sit here and post about it, we need to start calling on a regular basis demanding it, if they hear enough noise, we'll register on their radar. I bought a new AT&T telephone answering machine yesterday and now my caller-ID works fine.  This is the third AT&T telephone that I had to buy in order to have the caller-ID work properly.  I had no idea that when I went with U-verse voice I would have to replace three perfectly good telephones that worked fine with the old wiring.  At least my caller-ID problem is resolved.

Now I can focus my full attention on trying to advocate for SNY HD!  Baseball season is right around the corner and I really hope everyone in CT calls every day requesting SNY in high definition.

I tried calling this morning and actually had a Mets fan as a customer service rep who I asked about SNYHD.  She said she didn't know if we'd ever get it, but that she felt my pain.  I asked her who I should contact about this and she suggested I get in touch with SNY.  I'm not sure that will help but I e-mailed them (getsny@sny.tv ) .  If anyone hears who at ATT we should be contacting, please share.  I was unable to find an e-mail address on their website.  I don't want to have to go back to Cablevision.
