Mitsubishi Remote control code needed

I just purchased a Mitsubishi 24946 television and am trying to program my ATT U-Verse remote to control the television. I tried all the codes listed, but none of them worked.  Does anyone know what code I should try? Thanks!

Thanks for responding so quickly, BeeBee. However, I just tried all these codes, and none of them works. I revisited the directions and am certain I followed the programming directions correctly, but no code has worked thus far. Still need one....

Also, you can use the automatic search option:

1. Press and hold the Mode key (i.e., TV , DVD or AUX) they want to program.
2. Without releasing the selected Mode key, press and hold the OK key simultaneously.
3. Release both the Mode key and the OK key.

   All the Mode keys will flash twice indicating programming mode.

4. Enter 922 by pressing the number keys on the remote control.

   The selected Mode key will flash twice indicating correct entry.

   Note: For AUX Searching only, press and release the PLAY key then press:

   • 1 for VCR
   • 2 for Receiver/Tuner
   • 3 for Amplifier
   • 4 for Home Theater In The Box (HTIB)

   All the Mode keys will flash twice indicating correct entry.

5. Press and hold the PLAY key and wait until the device turns off, then release the PLAY key.
   • The REW key can be utilized to go back through the codes one at a time.
   • The FF key can be utilized to move forward through to codes one at a time.
   • Press the PLAY key to resume auto search of device codes.
6. To save the code, press the ENTER key on the remote control (bottom right) or press the EXIT key to return to normal operation.

I had a similar problem last month when I purchased a new Viore (who?) TV from Wal-Mart.  New TVs possibly come out with new codes that aren't in the paper booklet nor available in the automatic scan.  I phoned the TV manufacturer's support number and got a long list of codes because the person claimed they weren't told which codes belong to which models.  I tried the highest numbered code and it worked!

Unfortunately when I phoned U-Verse tech support to inform them of the codes for Viore TV -- so they could help other customers -- the guy didn't seem to want to know.

BTW, I am happy with this 26" LCD HDTV for a very good price.

I've tried all of these solutions and still no luck programming my remote. ATT says to contact Mitsubishi for the code. Mitsubishi says they have no codes. Dealer says maybe the remote is bad.  Arrgghh! But this remote worked just fine when programming for my old TV, so I don't think that's it. I just don't have the right 4-digit code. I tried the auto-code option, and it didn't work either.  Still searching for a solution....

I just Googled "Mitsubishi 24946" and came up with no valid hits about Mitsubishi TV except for your U-talk post.  What is the correct model number?  Do you have the owner's manual?  Does it state a toll-free (or other) phone number for Mitsubishi TV Support?

I wish - no, that's not my tv.  I have a Mitsubishi LT46249.  46" screen, 18 speaker sound bar. Nice, but it ain't 82".....

Still searching for the right code....
