The issues subsided for a few days, then came back again as per usual.
All test results do not show anything out of the ordinary. All streaming sites with the exception of YouTube are affected by the constant buffering.
Does AT&T plan on addressing this? It is no coincedence that so many people began experiencing this issue around the same time.
EDIT: Just stumbled across this thred while browsing the dslreport's Uverse forum - http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r25629089-ATT-Uver
Seems fairly relevant to the issue we are all experiencing. Pay no attention to the omnipresent AT&T loyalists that litter the thread, rather focus on the unbiased users attempting to help eachother resolve the issue.

Not a response from tier2 yet on PM Not that I expected one because I was already told nothing wrong on ATT's side. What I would like to know is if the problem isn't on ATT part what could cause theses stats ?

I'm getting bad results also using that speed test. I would also like a response from a tier 2 rep. I mean come on. Tier 2 posts the test address here and asks us to respond. then they just disappear. I would like to know why my speeds go to the crapper with this test also.

This site ALWAYS shows a great speed, no matter what the real download throughput is. Sometimes my real download throughput is below 4 Mbps and this site and most other speed tests show 22-23 Mbps. I use a stop watch and download big files from unsuspect sites like Sony, Apple, Microsoft, to check the real speed.

Why am I not surprised?
AT&T sits at the bottom of the chart, all the way in last place, by a large margin. Pathetic is one word for it.
I hope more content providers decide to publish this kind of data.

I am about to have a complete meltdown regarding this crap.
How many times to I have to call U-Verse customer support and get some jamoke on the phone who tells me:
a) I need to sign up for a plan with faster speed
b) I am having issues because of congestion from "more people having U-verse in my area"
c) It's Netflix fault
These problems JUST started last month. I had NO issues with buffering/loading until the first week of February. Since then, I have been on the phone weekly with AT&T, agreed to upgrade, cancelled my HBO just to account for the increase in price for the faster internet.
I use a Sony Blu Ray player that is directly connected to the internet.
Has anyone had any luck with changing settings and all this other mumbo jumbo I keep reading about? I am not a computer expert and I just want to be able to watch a movie for longer than 5 minutes.
I am giving this one more week and then I will (reluctantly) be going back to Comcast.

I too have a Sony Blu Ray player, with the 3M Internet connected directly to the gateway. Very rarely have I had any problems with streaming. I doubt it is Netflix, there could be a congestion w/bandwith, internet being accessed, other channels being viewed and/or recorded at same time. Sorry!

Thanks for your response.
I upgraded (stupidly) to the 6M connection and am still having problems. This with NOT being connected to the internet on any other device, and not having any simultaneous recordings.
I am at my wits' end.

I'm assuming the other internet activities are fine.
What you may want to do (if possible) is run a hardwire connection like cat 5 cable from your RG to your Netflix device.
Various things like walls and possible interference from other wireless devices can affect wireless internet.
If you post your stats from http://www.uverserealtime.com/ someone here may be able to diagnose the issue. U may b able to

I am currently connected with a cat 5 cable.
I will run the diagnostics tonight when I get home from work.
Thank you!

Have you called ts to have them check your service for errors? Better still click on the below link and download the app. Launch it and post your stats so we can see if there are any problems with your service. We aren't ATT ts but we can offer suggestions that could result in a resolution of your issues.

I have, 4-5 times. And each time they check and say nothing is wrong, and it's Netflix fault.
I will use that link and post my results when I get home. Thank you so much for your help.

I have an internet ready TV plugged directly into the back of the DVR internet port. I don't have any issues downloading from Netflix with my Elite internet service.

chiribian, where are you located? it seems like you and I have the same problem.
I'm assuming that you, like I, have already take care of the line interference possibility by using Uverse Realtime... and from reading your posts, you also had a relatively good period of service a few weeks ago.

I am in central Texas close to Austin. After I had the techs out it was working great for a week or so but since it has only gotten worse. Tier 2 say's nothing wrong on their side and they see no reason why I am having problems. Can't be my line they replaced it.
I can hook up to my neighbor standard TW and stream fine so I know it is ATT's problem. I put off my TW install because I dislike the company and had great service for 6 years with ATT but like I said it is only getting worse and ATT won't fix it so I have a new install date for TW. I am fed up with it.

I'm feeling the same way. I signed up for a 2 year contract but this is really poor service and I'm going to be talking to retention again soon. As I'm typing this I'm trying to download adobe reader 10.01... it is 46.3mb. I'm currently going at about 22 kilobytes a second. this is crap.
at 4.5 seconds for 100k, it will take me at least 40 minutes to download this file. I SERIOUSLY doubt that this is because Adobe has a slow server.
