1218 - CNBC Application HD
1500 - Music Choice App HD
I highly doubt that 1218 really is HD. It looks very similar to 218.
1500 is the exact same as 500. Only now, when you select music, it goes to the actual 51XX channel.

It's been HD for a number of months already, guess you never noticed it before. ![]()

There are no HD apps, everything's SD on all the apps and multiviews. ![]()

Yeah, Crime & Investigations HD (Channel 1163) has been there for over 2 years.

I don't get the strategy behind applications like the new CNBC app. Basically, the application is a limited implementation of tools that are already available on the CNBC web site/iPAD/iPhone apps as well as dozens of others. While more channels are always better than fewer channels, I would rather see limited resources invested in new content such as the MLB Strike Zone, the NHL network and so forth.

Why does one have to come at the expense of the other? The budget for developing applications would not be the same budget used for acquiring programming. Also, the people working on developing applications would not be the same people negotiating carriage agreements.

1457 -- Food Network Application
Is this a new one? Either way, it's great to be able to block more and more SD channels as the HD equivalents become known.

Well, the SD version has been there since October 2011.

Yeah, that's a new one. I just saw 1457 on my second TV. Even though I never watched it, it's always great to block SD channels.
