New Local HD Channel Sacramento Area Telefutura

I just noticed today a new local HD channel in my area 95307 zip. Telefutura channel # 1023 I am pretty sure it wasn't there yesterday.

Note: The addition of TeleFutura HD may not be a national thing. My gut feeling is that because you have a local affiliate, you get the HD channel. I have a national feed, so i'm guessing my TeleFutura HD could be a bit longer way away.

I noticed too that I got Telefutura and Univision in HD (Fresno Area). Maybe they are putting it up for the local affiliates first like what Kryptonite said. At least now I can watch the FIFA world cup in HD.

What? Really? I'm in the OC area and I still don't have it. But if California is starting to get it, it should probably be happening soon in my area. There are so many movies and series in HD already.

We got local Univision in HD today in Raleeigh(or maybe over the last couple of days), and it looks like DirecTV rolled it out nationally this week as well (I work for a DirecTV partner).

Keep in mind that every game of the 2010 Fifa World Cup will be in HD and in English on ESPNHD, ESPN2HD, or ABCHD.

I got Both Uni KDTV HD 1013 and TFT KFSF HD1019 went live today, here in san jose. Now I can Watch the World Cup in both English and Spanish in HD. (of course Not all at the same time if there are two live games going on at the same time. Not enough live HD streams, but only if ATT rolls out 4 Live HD Streams by then) on U-verse.

I don't have it in West Palm Beach, Florida yet, I have the national feed from Uverse, but no local Univision or Telefura, they are in Miami, too far for my over the air antenna

They've been slow in adding them. I got Univision back in mid-February and its local. Telefutura is still missing from my lineup.

Yeah, those 10XX channel numbers confirm that they are local affiliates going HD. Since I don't have local affiliates of the major Spanish channels, I guess I have to bide my time.

At the most, there will only be two World Cup games going on at one time. If you have two HD streams, you should be good, with two additional streams (2 SD, or perhaps 1 HD and 1 SD left over.)

If you have U-Verse internet, www.espn3.com will be showing every World Cup game on ESPN or ESPN2 for no additional charge outside of your U-Verse internet bill. (If you want to get picky, approximately five cents of your U-Verse internet bill goes to ESPN for access to ESPN3.com. There is nothing you can do about this if you don't want ESPN3 access.) Due to contractual agreements with the ABC affiliates, ESPN3.com will not be showing World Cup games televised by ABC either live or on an archived "delayed" basis.
