Not get 106 entertainment channels [ Edited ]

I just received my installation; the technician was very accommodating and polite. His name was Raul.

I went through the channels that are coming through, what I am paying for and I am very upset... I refuse to pay for channels that are in another language when I am in theUnited States of America. So I will not pay for these channels and I want them removed from my bill... or receive credit so as to offset the 106 Channels of entertainment that I am paying for.

20; 21; 24; 26; 31; 43; 196; 3002; 3005; 3007; 3014; 3019; 3077...

The other issue I have is paying to have some advertisers on my bandwidth that I am paying for...

Since advertisers are probably, more likely than not, paying you to put their channels on your bandwidth that I am in return paying you again for...

Please remove these channels...

37; 82; 84; 85; 86; 87; 197; 198; 216; 222; 228; 247; 252; 337; 340; 367; 399; 420; 422; 424; 428; 429; 471; 1428...

Now I realize business is business, so if you won't capitulate to my request, and I would have to keep these channels, I would like some reduction in my monthly bill to off set my inconvenience to have this unwanted junk coming in to my home..., since you are already being compensated by these ad channels in some other way...

I this is not possible then what channels can you offer me to off set my expense and inconvenience, of something that you would want to do, and that won't inconvenience your bottom line...?  

There are over 37 channels whose content is unwanted and illegible.

Your requests are not going to happen with U-verse or any other TV provider.

I want compensation everytime a St. Louis sports team loses on a channel that I am watching on U-Verse. If a commercial appears on any channel that I am watching, I want compensation. Since I am male, I want double compensation for commercials aimed at women. These commercials have nothing to do with me.

If there is a serious breaking news alert on ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, CNN, or MSNBC, I want compensation for the mental anguish that is created in my life during these breaking news alerts.

While watching an English language channel, if there is a character or person that does not speak English, I want immediate compensation. I do not wish to pay for foreign languages on English language channels. For instance, if I am watching "Taxi" and Latka Gravas appears- immediate compensation.

On HGTV on "House Hunters" if I do not guess which house the home buyers choose, then I want compensation.

Who do I send my request to? I need to know now.

Let me ask you this. If you had Satellite or CATV, and you got locals in SD or Foreign channels, etc, would they remove them and not charge you? The answer would be no. You are already paying for the SD locals, and the foreign channels are also included in your package.

Sorry, but there is no provider out there with Ala-Carte service.

Why now, would they be joking.  I mean come on, they are being really serious about this matter, and want something done.  Guessing they forgot that the costs of those channels are already wrapped into the package cost.  Plus some are paying ATT to allow their channels in on the regular packages, not in the international add-on exclusively.

I've blocked the channels I don't want. As far as I'm concerned, they're gone. The shopping channels pay AT&T to be carried, so they're actually a good thing. You know how spiders eat mosquitos and flies? They're really a good thing, even though they appear to be bad... Maybe shopping channels are like spiders.

Perhaps the OP is unaware of the ability to hide unwanted channels:  Menu>Options>Channel Options>Hide Channels

I want to be compensated for the mental anguish of losing Hallmark and NHL, as well as the mental anguish of not getting BBC America HD or BBC World News or not getting Local on the 8s on The Weather Channel.  Plus I want to be compensated for having to invest in an antenna to receive substations like This TV, Antenna TV, Live Well, ion life and Me TV because U-verse won't pick them up unlike Verzion FiOS.

Hmmm...  Coming into your home?  Not if you don't enter that channel number.  It's like wanting to get a credit on your internet bill for all the sites you do not want to visit...

Not today, but maybe one day you will have the option to get a-la-carte programming choices from your TV Provider. Until that day. Get yourself Roku, Google TV, Boxee, Apple TV, HTPC, Blu-ray, HDTV with app or other type STB to get your a-la-carte programming.

I seriously doubt it will be anytime in the next 10 years. Prices are too high now and going a la carte would make it even more expensive.

I would rather just be able to choose and watch programming from the network websites instead of going through a service provider.  The only thing is bandwidth caps could get in the way of that.

What are all of these hysterical new people going to do when they find out on New Year's Day that all of the local channels are still on U-Verse? I guess they will go back to posting about the Hallmark Channel. Of course, the holidays will be over, so there will not be much of a need to get upset about that channel.

Mad As Hades has not posted for several days, so none of us know her additional plans for her big protest at AT&T headquarters. I was looking forward to seeing Dallas. Perhaps she can delay the protest until the baseball season, specifically when the Angels play the Rangers so that I can see Albert Pujols play.

I wish the Military Channel existed in HD. I have two reasons for my request. The first is newer productions would be shown in HD, and second, due to my laziness, I watch everything on the HD channel versions, even on analog televisions. I never go to the SD channels other than the Military Channel.
