Life goes on...those of us who remember the days of only 3 channels never have a problem finding something to watch.

Four if you were "lucky" and had a local PBS affiliate to go with the "big three". ![]()

True, or 6 if you lived in a big city (UHFs). ![]()

(Actually, a 2" speaker or AT&T dropouts... At least one of those worked!)

And you had to worry about vertical hold and horizontal hold...plus snow, uh wait, we still have snow with OTA digital in my area. Maybe we've gone backwards.
Stations signed off around midnight.
I'm glad we have tons of channels now, all in color, and on 24/7/365!

I grew up in New York City before I had cable. In the late 1960s, I had seven VHF stations and five UHF stations. The seven VHF stations were 2 (CBS), 4 (NBC), 5 (Metromedia which would later be Fox), 7 (ABC), 9 (RKO, which would later be MyNetworkTV), 11 (Tribune, which would later be The CW network) and 13 (First NET, then later with PBS). The five UHF stations were 21 (NET, later PBS on Long Island), 25 (Brooklyn's NET, now PBS station previously owned by the New York City Board of Education), 31 (NET later PBS owned by New York City) and two Spanish stations, 41 (now affiliated with Univision) and 47 (now affiliated with Telemundo).
So when life was simpler, I only had 12 TV stations! It wasn't until 1970 that I got my first color TV set. I remember what a big deal that was back then!

Yep, I remember when it was the "Big 3" networks and PBS. In OKC it was 4 (NBC) 5 (ABC) and 9 (CBS) 13 was PBS then we got channel 25 (Fox) and a local channel 34 which became the CW network. I didn't have cable until I moved out in 1987 and joined the Navy. Where I lived in my small town it wasn't available so it was all OTA with a BIG antenna.

I went through the channels that are coming through, what I am paying for and I am very upset... I refuse to pay for channels that are in another language when I am in theUnited States of America. So I will not pay for these channels and I want them removed from my bill... or receive credit so as to offset the 106 Channels of entertainment that I am paying for.
20; 21; 24; 26; 31; 43; 196; 3002; 3005; 3007; 3014; 3019; 3077...
The other issue I have is paying to have some advertisers on my bandwidth that I am paying for...
Since advertisers are probably, more likely than not, paying you to put their channels on your bandwidth that I am in return paying you again for...
Please remove these channels...
37; 82; 84; 85; 86; 87; 197; 198; 216; 222; 228; 247; 252; 337; 340; 367; 399; 420; 422; 424; 428; 429; 471; 1428...
Now I realize business is business, so if you won't capitulate to my request, and I would have to keep these channels, I would like some reduction in my monthly bill to off set my inconvenience to have this unwanted junk coming in to my home..., since you are already being compensated by these ad channels in some other way...
I this is not possible then what channels can you offer me to off set my expense and inconvenience, of something that you would want to do, and that won't inconvenience your bottom line...?
There are over 37 channels whose content is unwanted and illegible.
Please respond...

Suckers! Lol. A one post wonder comes in and does a "drive by" or a "bait and vacacte" with obscene silliness and then sits back while folks write 4 pages of replies. While his post itself FAILS, he has WON in the end.

I want U-Verse to design a channel lineup specific to my needs with all of the channels I want regardless of cost or availability and I want them to charge me the price I demand and nothing more.
Oh and I want them to send over a good looking tech to change channels for me and be my 24 hr household servant..

Better yet, U-Verse should pay me to watch television. Why should I pay them when all they do is take channels away on a daily and hourly basis.
Question to all posters: who do you want as your 24 hour household servant to change your channels? I would like Brooklyn Decker.
Owning a computer and not having the internet is like buying a refrigerator and not stocking it with food.

Yowza! She could but I bet the price increase would be more than $3/month. At $3 a month extra , we would probably get Rosie, Rosanne or Melissa McCarthy!

Jenny McCarthy might cost too much. Charley McCarthy would be too much of a dummy to change channels.
