Not happy with internal commmunica tions so far... What a let down!!!!

I was scheduled to be installed this coming Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, but found out this morning from a technician who was doing a pre-survey, that it may be weeks or a month until they boost the signal of my feed. I'm about 4800 ft. from the CO which also happens to house the node which serves my home (presently have Elite DSL service from at&t). The signal wasn't even syncing. He said the limit is presently at 3800ft so I'm about 1000ft. short. He did tell me that it's a good thing that I'm directly fed by my CO so once they do boost the signal that I should be one of the first ones. He also said that he has seen the signal extended twice in one week. So, I guess there is hope!
What I'm upset about is the lack of internal communications between the sales and the technical personnel. at&t should have proper internal software and mapping systems in place prior to implementing service to let the sales people know how far from the nodes service is available and give conservative yesterday. Sales people need to be better informed so I put the onus on the company. Remember the old axiom - under promise and over deliver!
I also work closely with our city government (South Euclid) and will be sure to make the mayor aware of it!
Hopefully, this multi-billion dollar company will get its act together soon!

Sorry about them doing that to you, just to let you know also though, the door to door sales ATT is using is on its way out and they are going to rely solely on the internet and phone sales. Hopefully this will help these distance issues to get worked out sooner.

The Sale reps in the stores are not given maps to where the U-Verse is available or where it is not. They can only rely on the system that says it is there. Sadly there is no way of knowing if you are too far from the node till the installer gets to the location and see where you are. The good news is that when U-verse first started it was 1500 feet. It is spreading everyday and at some point you will be able to hook up. So don't give up on checking.
