PLEASE HELP-Canno t get UVerse to work with new TV

Hello-
I got UVerse earlier this week and everything was fine. Bought a brand new 50 inch Philips TV yesterday and for some reason the TV is not picking up the UVerse box runing through HDMI. It just says no signal. Everything is connected correctly, I have turned the box off and on 5 times, I was on the phone with ATT tech support for an HOUR yesterday to no avail.
Here are a few things worth noting-
Last night it worked for about an hour after not working for a couple of hours. Turned it off and then today again it is getting the no signal and not working.
I have another box in the bedroom that is working fine.
I have my PS3 runing into HDMI2 on new TV and is working fine, picture and sound.
I hooked up my old TV to this box to test it and the box worked fine on my old TV. I also tried connecting it with the PS3 cable and it did not work. Everything is working correctly, just not UVerse to TV
I have no clue what to do and it is the most frustrating thing in the world. Bought a brand new TV and cannot enjoy because the thing won't work. Please help if any suggestions. I am pretty savvy with electronics and I am stumped.
Please do not tell me to make sure the HDMI is plugged in, turn it off and on again, run through the source button to make sure it is connected, try another HDMI input, or make sure it is connected correctly. I have no idea what to do

Based on your message, I'm making the assumption that you have the U-verse receiver connect to the Philips TV using an HDMI cable and the you have selected the correct HDMI input on the TV.
Instead of using an HDMI cable, have you tried using a component cable with audio to connect the U-verse receiver to the TV?

I have not tried component connection, I don't have one in the apartment. Going to call a friend and see if they have one.
I did plug the the UVerse Box into the old tv using the HDMI chord that I have and it worked fine. It is something with the TV that it is not picking it up.

It could be some type of compatibility issue between the TV and the U-verse receiver when an HDMI cable is used. Which model of Philips TV do you have?
Have you checked to see if there are any firmware updates available for the TV?

Its the 50 Inch-
50PFL3807
It is funny you mention the update. The TV found a newer version to run so I tried downloading the latest version over my wireless connection and it kept telling me the update had failed. I found on the site that since the version I have on there, I have to update it through a thumb drive. I am in the process of doing that now. I will update if it that changes anything

I downloaded the zip file onto a USB for the software upgrade. I turn the tv on to do so and the cable works. DId not do anything, just turned it on and it was working. I turned it off and back on to see if could repeat the miracle and of course-it is not working again.
I put in the USB for the software update. It found the file, but it is telling me the software update is failing every time I try it.
back to square 1

Im having the same problem with the Philips 50pfl3807 and Uverse that was just installed yesterday. I am unable to connect via HDMI. The installer tried multipe times with different cords and different boxes to no avail. Not sure what it could be, but im very frustrated since I just bought this tv 2 days ago. Im near my wits end trying to troubleshoot this problem. Let us know if its a software update issue that it needs so I can get on that ASAP.

Have you tried component cables? If it's an update it would be to the TV not to the UVerse box.

The TV should be shipped with this option turned off & it should not affect the STB even if on, but, it is a possibility that you can try.
Any software update would be for the TV. Check with Phillips.

Did you find a solution?? We just bought this TV and have already spent 3 hours trying to figure it out. My husband is still on the phone with a Uverse person and nothing is helping. HELP!!!

it is a Phillips: Model 50PFL3807/F7] connected with an HDMI. I know it's not the cable as our DVD player works with it.
We tried for 3 hours last night to no avail. The lady on the support side of phillips said that there are 2 uverse boxes they have connectivity issues with and we should probably return our tv. ATT said they would send us a box that wasn't listed as one of the ones that has issues. It should come on friday so we will see if it works.
We can't use composite cables because the TV is mounted and they will not fit through the space behind the wall. It's a nightmare.

I have not previously seen that there is a difference between U-verse boxes. Please post if is the case so others can benefit.
I see that your set can lock out inputs. Is your option set to lock out the HDMI?
You are sure you select the input that is connected?? Dis you scan through the inputs while connected?
Your set has an option to let another device control the HDMI (easylink). Check to make sure it is off.

We got the new box and it's the exact same box. After spending about 2 hours on the phone with ATT support we found out they don't have any other boxes (why the other guy said this might help then is beyond me).
We did try all that. We scanned all HDMI settings, and even tried setting up with the colored cables. They sent out a tech today and even he couldn't get it to work. We have to return the TV.
It is really crazy that a brand new TV wouldn't hook up to the box...it's really messed up.

Make sure the "Easy Link" setting is turned Off. Also look @ page 16 in your manual. I'm not sure what that RC key forwarding business is all about.

Can all 3 of you please also post which model of the U-Verse STB (or DVR) you are connecting to this Philips TV? I want to see if there's a pattern, and if so, I may have a suggestion that could possibly fix the issue.

I just messed with the easy link and it is OFF. The model number of the box is: ISB7500
I mean the tech came out, he couldnt fix it. If you have a suggestion make it quick, we are taking the tv down in about an hour.

It's too late. Both Phillips and Uverse said this TV is not wired to accept Uverse boxes at all. They said there are 2 models they know for sure that don't work with it. I have been dealing with this since the 7th, so the TV is all packed up and going back. Thanks for your suggestions.

Alos, Uverse demanded on several occasions that it was impossible for them to send me any other box, and they only have one model number, which clearly isn't true. It sucks to deal with people that don't know what they are doing.

What they said may actually be true. They may have discontinued shipping the older boxes.

Had the same exact issues and tried component cables and this fixed the problem it worked immediately. It sucks though because I already HDMI ran through the walls, now I have to buy new 12"+ component cables with audio in order to use my uverse box as the HDMI does not work

Just FYI I have a Samsung 51" Class Plasma 720p 600Hz HDTV, PN51E450 & the motorola VIP2200 Uverse receiver.

I was reading this and telling my fiance about this because he works at Best Buy and he suggests to stay away from phillips because the tv's are low quality and right there with Westinghouse and RCA. As far as the Samsung is concerned we have a Samsung 51e550 plasma and it works just fine through the HDMI and he says that he has sold a lot of 450 models and not one has come back for that reason.

I have 3 Samsung and one Phillips tvs and none have given me any issue with HDMI
