Dwinth, you pointed out a fault, it was 4 games with 8 teams playing. But even then you kinda missed my main point, I do not recive any baseball on friday and saturday while everyone else gets to watch multiple games. I can't believe they can charge extra for a "sports" package when they don't even show all of my market's games. If they would fix this in the next week I might have time to cancel and avoid this TWC installation I'll have to put up with.
Your local RSN's are included in your base package; therefore, you do not need to pay an extra fee to see the games of the teams in the territory that you live in. None of the channels included in the Sports Package broadcast MLB games. The out of market RSN's are included in the HD Premium Tier Package. Per MLB rules, the games broadcast on the out of market RSN's are blacked out in areas outside of the teams' territories.

No, I would not be happy: however, I would either accept that this is how things are and make the adjustment, or I would decide that it is a deal breaker and find another provider that I feel better meets my needs. I would not continue to complain about it to my fellow customers on a forum.

@texasguy37, That's not my problem, My problem is they won't pay to get this fixed. Every time I spoke with their customer service all they was say the same things you do. Why dose it seem that ATT loves to beat around the bush and not fix issues?

I wasn't addressing your problem in my first post. I was addressing your statement about paying extra for the Sports Package.

The Braves television schedule looks very confusing. I live in St. Louis where all games not televised nationally are televised only on Fox Sports Midwest.
Here is the Braves television schedule:
http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/schedule/broadcast/i
I see games on three Regional Sports Networks: Fox Sports South, Sports South, and Peachtree. Fox Sports South and Peachtree share a lot of games. How do they decide if you are getting a Braves game on Peachtree or Fox Sports South? Who gets what and how?
It seems if a game is on Sports South, that game is only on Sports South there is no sharing with another Regional Sports Network.
I am glad we just have one Regional Sports Network, Fox Sports Midwest, here in St. Louis which as of two weeks ago shows all of the Cardinal games available.

The 45 games shown as both PTV and FSS are shown on Peachtree TV in the greater Atlanta area and on FSS in the Braves' territory that is outside of the greater Atlanta area. The reason is that Peachtree TV is local broadcast channel in the Atlanta area, and not available through the entire Braves' territory. Prior to last season, these games were only broadcast on Peachtree TV.

So the bottom line is if you live in the greater Atlanta area and you have U-Verse, you do not get the 45 games. If you have U-Verse and live in the territory that is outside of the greater Atlanta area, you do get the 45 games.
Now I understand what the problem is. Thanks Texasguy37.

No, it's the opposite. If you lve in the greater Atlanta area, you get those 45 games on Peachtree TV because it is one of your local broadcast channels. Those in the Braves' territory outside of the greater Atlanta area do not get those 45 games because U-verse has not agreed to pay the extra fee requested by FSS and Peachtree TV is not one of their local broadcast channels.

All I know is that for years I got all the Braves Sports South games on cable. When the AT&T sales person was talking to me, I specifically asked what would be different on my sports channels. They did disclose what I knew that AT&T did not carry CSS. However, they never mentioned that I would not get the same Fox Sports South programming I had previously received. This may be why I don't renew in the fall.

Let's see if I I understand this. There is no problem with any Braves games for people who live in the greater Atlanta area. The problem is with the people who live in the Braves's territory outside of the greater Atlanta area. If they have U-Verse, they are not getting the Fox Sports South simulcast of the games that people in Atlanta are seeing on Peachtree.
There is no problem with the Sports South telecasts for anyone.
I am glad we just have Fox Sports Midwest as our one and only RSN.

In NC there have been no Braves games that were not blacked out whether FSN or Sportsouth since the season started-- of the six different MLB games listed in the guide today five were blacked out. Any suggestions about how to explain this to my 88 year old baseball fan Dad? Is Uverse the only provider that has not successfully negotiated a carriage agreement with Fox Sports?

Put your ZIP code in here. This will tell you which teams you should be recieving. If you are not recieving them call technical support.

Sure. The explanation is easy. You are not in the Atlanta Braves' territory; therefore, their games are blacked out in your area per MLB rules. Mostly likely, you are in the territory of the Baltimore Oriloes and Washington Nationals. Those teams do not broadcast their games on FSN South or SportSouth. The MLB blackout map is found in the link below:

And the answer to your last question about whether AT&T is the only major carrier to not have successfully negotiated with Fox for the simulcasts is YES, they are..... Which is major crap considering they are a major sponsor of Braves telecasts. It seems like the word Uverse is mentioned every 3 minutes.
I wish someone could hack the production and everytime the word Uverse is mentioned it could be followed with: "Want to miss a third of the Braves games? Tired of seeing ALL of the games? Sign up with AT&T Uverse!"

Last time on this topic. ATT folks who monitor this.
Thanks to WTBS, myself and likely millions around the southeast and the country, grew up watching the Braves. There are Braves fans everywhere!
SIMPLE MATH! If you pay a little for the extra games and the ratings for Braves games are say, 4 times better than POKER Reruns AND THEY WILL BE, you've made it back.
Brains...it's not that hard to figure out. And happy subscribers, too.
That's not to mention MASN, where I miss all the Orioles games cause ATT hasn't even tried to being them on board.

I have already explained why this has happened earlier in the thread and you are mostly correct.
To clarify, the original post is about ATT Uverse refusing to pay the premium, fee, etc. to FSN to simulcast the Braves games on the Peachtree network outside of the metro Atlanta area. For those of us in other area, I am in Alabama, we are in the Braves area but do not have access to Peachtree TV. With the new production of Braves game for the Peachtree Network by FSN, Peachtree has agreed to let FSN simulcast the games on their station outside of the Atlanta area. With this, FSN charges a fee to the cable networks to be able to provide that feed to their customers. Last year ATT Uverse would not pay that fee. For those of us outside of the Peachtree coverage area, we could only watch the simulcast on cable providers, like Direct or Comcast, that would pay the extra fee. Uverse customers are not afforded the luxury.

That infuriated me last night as I watched the game. If I was the ATT marketing department, I would be all over the Uverse side of the house about this issue. How can we effectively market our brand if once we have our customers, we can not continue to advertise to them? I know they do not specifically state in their campaigns that signing with ATT will guarantee you all the Braves games, but it seems kind of implied if they are a major advertising sponsor with their games. Can we get them for bait and switch by advertising an "TV Series" and then not providing with their service? Just a thought.

Precisely. This is why I didn't even ask the lady selling me on uverse about the Braves because I assumed that since they sponsor the trivia question and what seems like everything else, then of course I wouldn't be missing a third of the games.
Uverse may have me stuck (I've used 3 different providers in 4 years, so I can't make the switch myself), but I'm warning all of my friends about it here in Birmingham. I've deterred at least 3 or 4.

I ended up having to settle down and get MLB TV... It's 25$ per month through my xbox and you can get rid of it any time. I've gone ahead and downgraded my att uverse to the bare minimum and the word is Fios is being installed in my area so maybe I can switch over to them in time and not have to deal with colax cable.

If you live in the Braves' territory, their live games should be blacked out for you on MLB.TV.

Out of market, yes. If you live in the Braves' territory, they are not an out of market team. See below:

folks - you know what I think may be part of the solution? Don't just call AT&T or threaten to leave the service (again, if you are like me and have switched already a few time among providers, it doesn't make much sense yet): call a local sports radio show and complain. Even if it doesn't make any impact on the fraud of Braves sponsor AT&T being one of the only cheapskate carriers not to pony up the fee, maybe it will at least prevent other Braves fans from making the mistake.
And it WOULD have an impact.... s a previous poster said, Braves fans, because of TBS, are ACCUSTOMED to being able to see all of the games. It would be a deal killer to many many folks across the south.

I had thought that Fios had stopped installation, due to cost. For a while, it was too expensive for them to run the wire to every house (as opposed to AT&T which runs fiber to the general area.)
Does anyone have proof that Fios is back in the installation game?

FIOS is definitely still doing new installs; however, they are not expanding into any new markets where they don't already have a franchise agreement in place to provide the service. As far as I know, the only area where there is an overlap of U-verse and FIOS (i.e. a customer has access to both U-verse and FIOS) is in a very limited area of the Dallas market.

I am new to the AT&T U-Verse family and just learned last weekend that I can't get the Braves when they play on FSN. I honestly can't understand how this can be. It was the main reason I changed to AT&T. I am also in the 38119 zip code area and it says I should be getting the games on FSN but I'm not. I do get the Sports South games.
I am a diehard fan and if this can't be fixed, I'll go back to Comcast. Any thoughts?

Did you switch when you saw the commercials? It's pathetic and they act like it's no big deal.
