Hey all,
I am set to get Uverse in the next few days, but have one big concern. I have my house run with Cat5e cable that I use to stream videos from a central networked hard drive to my respective media boxes. My question is, do the Uverse boxes have the capability of streaming these videos (they are mostly HD videos in .mkv format). Not being able to would be a pretty big deal breaker for me here, so hopefully this is able to be done.
The hard drive system I use is a NAS that is fed through my router now through a cat5e cable and my current media streamers are a Boxee Box and 2 of the WDTV boxes.
Thanks for any help.

No, the U-verse receivers do not stream video. There is Media Share feature that can be used to view pictures and stream music files.

Garnoldo611 - If you have it working why would you want to change it?
Run the TVs off the RG coax or cat5 with one switch & the existing network off another switch.
