Yes, it can.

You would need to open the RDP port (TCP 3389) on your RG's firewall and set up the desired PC in your house as the target for traffic on that port. You would also need to configure your PC to accept the connection (which may include altering any software firewall on that PC, and granting rights to users to log on remotely).

I would suggest that any users allowed to log on this way have strong passwords to keep your system safe from unexpected logins from the great beyond.

Also be aware when Remote Desktop used over the internet (not within a local network) the external IP address of the computer to be accessed must be provided. That is not the IP of the pc itself but the external address given by the ISP to router/modem to which the accessed computer is connected. You can easily get that external IP by using an internet speed test such as www.speakeasy.net on the to-be-accessed computer.

My wife uses RDP to access her work computer from home. I have a couple of guys that I work with that use RDP on a Win7 Pro box. I don't think XP Home or Win7 Home allow it.
