You could always move up here.  Easier access to your steak knives every 6 months as well. They personally hand them out to us Dallas "employees" instead of mailing them.

Except for the hurricanes in Houston, I could easily deal with the Texas weather.  The cold/snow temps last a lot shorter than they do here in Michigan.  There are parts of Alaska that have milder winters than we do.

We rarely get hit, every 20 years or so; it's the waiting and watching that's bad.  Mostly sunshine days (even while it's raining sometimes).  That's what I like the most, the sun and the reason most of our trees don't change color in winter.

And speaking of Houston...can you give any hints how much longer we'll be after everyone else for Phase 3.

Nah, we still hold that title, just wait and see.  DFW is HQ and all the big-wigs have to get everything first (for their families/friendlies as well).

But better to have them work the bugs out for us before the rollout elsewhere.  I'm starting to expect that.

Not everyone in the DFW area is 1st. Here in Richardson (where the whole city has had fiber since I had a full head of hair), we are ~ 3 months behind whoever is last.

Spd, I understand why you say Houston will be last.  You speak from experience.  But anything is possible IMO, Houston could be one of the first.  We definitely have to wait for the rollout here in Mich I am just waiting to see the screen shots.

If you are talking about Phase 3 of thdvr, we don't all of the features that will accompany that rollout exactly.  And that includes that feature.  But there are plenty of rumors to go around about it.

I have heard that the fix to repair the "shows not recording" bug will happen with the next major push - and that will not be until late 2011.  So, I wonder if THDVR Phase 3 will not be until the end of the year?

Does anybody have any info on the phase 3 update.   i have been having uverse for about a year and it needs some updates.   I had direct tv for 3 years and it was pretty good overall.   I switched for because IPTV is the future but improvements are needed for me to stay.
