I have att's u-verse 450 with 24 mbs(advertised).Desktop is hard wired,wireless,2 laptops,2 cellphones,X-box & PS3,65" Sharp LCD. My signal in daytime seems to be weaker than at night, and it seems too affect picture quality(better pic. at night than day, more grainier, pixel flashes in the day). Can this be my imagination? Can internet signal strength affect my picture quality? (signal daytime 10.0-16.0mbs everything an off. best signal i've tested 22.70 nightime, after 8-pm west coast.)Tech has been out to house said he turned up signal but seems serious fall off in daytime.Paying for max. of 24mbs but it never gets past 22.70 at night. Is there a problem here?

It would seem to be a problem for you but not for AT&T. I believe their "guarantee"of bandwidth, atleast for DSL, is half of what you're paying for. In other words you buy the 24Mbps plan and they guarantee atleast 12Mbps, and the guarantee of speed is only to the first piece of network equipment your signal hits outside of your home, which in your case would be a VRAD (big beige box) which is at most 3 - 4 blocks from your home. If it falls below that 12Mbps, they'll probably just blame it on the internet.
Your speed drops are kind of odd because most people complain about speed drops/connection issues at nightime rather than during the day.
Your perceived picture quality issues during the day could actually be your TV. Some TVs automatically adjust the picture for ambient lighting conditions, changing contrast and brightness for the amount of light in the room. If your TV is in a room where ambient light conditions are different between day and night, you might be noticing a difference in perceived picture quality if your TV does not handle the automatic adjustment well.
If you download and install UV Realtime ( http://www.uvrealtime.com/download.aspx ) and post screenshots of the "IP Profile", "Error Table", "Bitloading", and "Coax HPNA" tabs, someone here might be able to spot your problem. Post a series of screenshots from night time when it's good, and a series from day time when it's bad.

Great to hear you're getting prompt attention to your issue. Sounds like they're probably on track to solve the problem. Yes, if you are only 80 feet from the VRAD you should have an excellent signal.
Please stop back and let us know how it goes if you could.
