In Connecticut, AT&T U-Verse added 5 local HD channels to Fairfield County and 3 new channels to the New Haven and Harford areas. In Fairfield, this will bring the total number of HD channels up to 49. In New Haven and Hartford, HD customers will now have access to 44 HD channels.

New HD channels in Fairfield include: WPIX HD (CW-NYC), WTXX HD (CW-Hartford/New Haven), WNET HD (PBS), WWOR HD (My Network-NYC), and WCTX HD (My Network-Hartford/New Haven). The additional HD channels in New Haven and Hartford include: WCTX HD (My Network), WNET HD (PBS) and WTXX HD (CW).

Chad Townes, AT&T vice president and general manager for Connecticut said, “With more HD channels and important items such as HD-capable equipment and DVR included in most packages, we’re offering an HD experience — and value — you can’t pass up.”

A lot of people wanted PBS and CW in HD. Looks like they are coming, slow but sure. Enjoy those new channels.

you know what I'm in indianapolis and I just got U-verse monday and their are probably about 10 HD channels that aren't listed on the channel lineup they gave me.

First off thanks to the op for this because AT&T forgot to mention it but maybe I know why. I don't want to offend anyone that was really waiting for those channels but give me a break. They are not really the most popular channels I guess outside of PBS (maybe). I mean I'll take my Uconn games on a high def channel even though they will probably still be SD. I guess the more the better but how about some more popular channels especially sports and movie channels where it really makes a difference. Not having SNY and MSG HD is a big disadvantage when competing against cablevision. Overall I'm happy with what I have but I want it all!!
