At least here in MI they have been installing VRAD's at the crossbox location, that way they have easy access to customer lines to connect to the VRAD. The lines can service lengths much longer than Uverse's current distance of 3000' and that is why you can't get it yet. It's not that they were lazy, that was just of their business plan for the $$ they had for build-out. They realized that wasn't working as soon as they started building out. So, they started looking at pair bonding VDSL2 as early as 2005 and ran into the biggest problem of crosstalk of the 2 co-existing bonded pairs. This will increase the distance to 4-5000' and fill-in alot of the area between VRADs and is suppossedly coming 1Q 09. ![]()

Call ATT and insist that they send out a installer to verify that you're not eligible for the service. If needed, provide them the addresses and locations of those around you who have the service currently active.

Are both neighbors able to get Uverse or just the one on one side?
They made feed out of a terminal that is closer to the VRAD than you and could be right at the cutoff point. There HAS to be a line somewhere that denies service to anyone that lives beyond that point. I don't know if that is the case with you or not.
AT&T does not have a policy to allow for an installer to verify UVerse eligibility, they can only retest the line to determine whether it will pass or not.

Log in to your account to make the changes. If you already have the service then the availability checker will show it's unavailable because you can only have one Uverse account per home.

try calling tech support and ask them to direct you to sales department
if you have the u200 already, then they should readily activate the u300 package and the billing will reflect in your next payment
