Substandard Highspeed support - No u-verse service in East Point GA

I am a community and consumer blogger. AT&T does not offer U-verse in East Point (jefferson park) GA and gives us substandard support with High speed internet. Its obvious that they are still operating off of older lines in this city because we frequently have outages which the company hardly ever reports (support knows nothing of these outages when I call). At the very least they could fix the High Speed internet outage. We would like choice here for TV and internet that surrounding (very close)neighborhoods are receiving. Is anyone else having this problem?

What does this even mean? Are there places where U-Verse isn't available? Yep.

While it would be nice to have u-verse at the very least they could fix the high speed lines we have here in east point.

Have you seen a lot of ATT trucks in your neighborhood in the last 6 months or so? If you have, then Uverse may not be too far from you.

That's an aweful answer and is demeaning and ambiguous. Yes we see trucks but all they are doing is fixing problems, there is no vrad anywhere around here. Can you answer that question?

Wow....

I guess this is the result of America's "victim" mentality that has become so prevalent in the past 20-30 years.

I interpreted his answer as a bit tongue in cheek (perhaps a bit sarcastic) but in no way demeaning.

If you go through life with the expectation that people are all out to get you, then you'll see/hear it in everything you encounter.

Go back and re read your original post very carefully. You make a very short, terse emotionally charged statement without including a single detailed fact. Then when someone makes a gentle prod at that statement, you run and grab the hammer and nails and proceed to occupy the cross.

In short, you threw chum into the water and when the sharks didn't appear you got upset.

These forums are some of the best I've ever found for community provided support. There's people who post information here that not only would you not find anywhere else but definitely not find for free.

If you were expecting some sort of bash AT&T party, you've come tot he wrong place.

To put to rest what my intention is in that answer. When I wa waiting for Uverse to become available in my area there were a lot of ATT trucks. One day I stopped and asked if they were running DSL because it wasn't availabe either. The guy said 'No we are setting up Uverse." That is how I knew itt was coming where I lived. I have repliede this and seen several subs reply this same answer without getting that response. If you have a problem with that answer you dug pretty deep to find one. IMHO.

RCSMG thank you for your response, while I admit I am upset that we dont have much choice here, I think the crux of the problem is the fact you dont even support the existing infrastructure properly.

Vexville (Mr Elephant man) no one was even talking to you and I dont need your diatribe or breakdown of societial problems which ills America. I didnt make this 'political' you did! AND DID YOU READ MY POST, my initial writing was to write about some of the problems I am having with AT&T supporting High Speed where I live, I constantly have problems and outages and it falls below the standard deviation of what they say their outages fall in line with each year. Do I have my suspicions on what I think it is? Sure, but all I did was point out the obvious facts. There is no choice here and we are well within their service area, and that the existing high speed lines continuously have outages which technicians wont even admit.

Feel free to go give your unsolicited opinions else where.
