I have a suggestion for your programming packages that you offer, they all stink. When I first became a user of Uverse I was promised that I would be able to watch Atlanta Braves baseball, and that is not true. I also had the Hallmark movie channel for less that a month and you took it away. You offer a bunch of high tech packages with DVR's and being able to watch online the Internet, etc etc. Some of your programming packages offer 200 most popular channels, most popular 100 channels etc etc. AT&T now owns all companies, all the competition Direct TV, Comcast, and now Dish. All of these carriers pretty much offer the same programming. My point to this post is first I want to see a programming package that the customer can customize himself and only pay for what he uses. For Instance, I have a package now that has over 150 channels, and I only really watch 20 of more channels, and only really interested in maybe 50 channels but because the channels that I like only fall under the 150 channel package I have to pay for that package deal, I view this as a ripoff. Now if you were to offer a package that a customer could actually say I want this channel and this channel, and I dont want this channel etc etc for a certain smaller fee depending on how many channels they selected this would be the best deal in the market today. I would like to be able to watch just my favorite sports teams and only my favorite ones, now if other customers want to watch more than one team then they should be able to do that, but I shouldnt have to buy say like the NFL ticket just to watch one team. I want to watch Atlanta Braves baseball but not the entire league of teams. I want to be able to pay for only the sports teams and TV channels that I am interested in, a custom package. I hope you understand what I am trying to communicate to you. Thank you.

I think everyone understands what you are saying but cable companies will never offer ala cart prices where you can pick what you want and what you don't want. Every package comes with channels people do not watch or want but it would be more expensive if they tried to offer channels ala cart.
As far as Braves games the only thing I can tell you is to check the MLB network because they do show Braves games on occasion. As far as Hallmark it look like it will be a while before they make a deal. But they will never offer ala cart packages on what you wanna watch.

AT&T does not own DirecTV, Comcast or Dish.

Part of your complaint has to do with sports, and while your observation on being able to watch only one team, vs all the teams seems valid, there are problems with that process. If those Major League sports would OFFER single team only broadcast RIGHTS, that would be great and I'm sure lots of people would subscribe to that. But, those leagues do NOT offer single team subscriptions, and possibly never will. If they did then AT&T would have some control over whether they off those packages, but that currently is not their choice, nor does any other carrier have that option.

There is another thread concerning such an idea; click here to see my response in that thread as to why this is not going to work the way you think it will.

You are correct as are the many people who have posted on here. Ala carte no matter what, is not a cost effective means for either the provider or the customer.
