660 - Tennis Channel

1660 - Tennis Channel HD

I just restarted my system and the tennis channel appeared. i get all the packages so i do not know what you need to get it.

The channels are now live here in Dallas.  It appears that the Tennis Channel is part of the U450 and Sports Packages.

Glad to see the Tennis Channel here. You got to have patience sometimes and it will come to U-verse. Now hopefully they will add other sports channels that people are asking for. Another thing off of my wishlist.

It is kind of a drag that these channels are limited to the U450 sports package.  Especially with times like these.  I know some people who are waiting for UV to get the tennis channel.  I hope they come here and check first, or we will have a new bunch of unsatisfied UV subs posting.

I upgraded to U450 just a few minutes ago, primarily for the Tennis Channel.

I was on U200, but I had slowly added stuff to that.  I had HD, then HD premium tier, then added HBO/Cinemax, and to get the Tennis Channel I would have had to add the Sports Pack, but figured the price was about the same at that point, so I'm U450 now.

FYI, the upgrade still let me keep my grandfathered STBs.

I also had a 6 month $10 discount from the audio/volume issues 2 months ago that stayed.

They'll be back.  New SN's, different channel requests, same people.

FYI  AT&T  is running a promo now for 1 month of the Sports Pack for free.  Be sure to request that promotion when you upgrade to the Sports Pack!   (You'll save $10 when you do.)  They also have 1 month of HBO free (in addition to the HBO/Showtime preview this coming weekend) and 3 months of the Movie Pack for free.

1) It's quite possible that the Tennis Channel is asking for so much money per customer, it only makes sense to put it in a higher tier.

2) It's quite possible that the Tennis Channel doesn't have enough leverage to ask for a lower tier.  The Tennis Channel is owned by several investors, including IMG, a sports marketing firm.  Versus and the Golf Channel are owned by Comcast, so it's quite possible that Comcast is "demanding" those channels go in a lower tier.
