HI, I wonder if two years after the last post, there's any further information on how to address the problem of establishing separate voicemails for a two line account?
When as suggested here, I use the "set up wizard," the "directed voicemail box" option appears but is greyed out. This leaves only the already in-place "generic voicemail box" option available. Googling this issue and chatting with AT&T support provided no further answers.
thanks,
Bob

Again, did you follow the process from earlier in the thread? Here it is again, and this absolutely worked for me:
"I figured out how to get 2 separate greetings and 2 separate voicemail boxes working. First, you use the Set-up Wizard for the voicemail to create a "Directed" voicemail box. You need to set up a sub account as well to assign the second line to. Once you have the web stuff completed and go to the voicemail to set it up, you essentially record a greeting for each line as you like and TURN OFF the "Company Greeting" feature. I sorted this all out and it works like I want it with a greeting for my home phone with its voicemail box and then my home office greeting with its own box. "
