I am thinking of switching to U-verse from Time Warner Cable. I have a question about the HD service compared to cable.
I see a lot of posts and references mentioning 1 or 2 HD streams with U-Verse depending on distance (I'm about 2500 feet according to AT&T). So, I guess that means that if I am recording 2 different HD shows on the DVR and I want to watch another HD show on that or another TV in the house, I won't be able to do that?
How does that compare to cable TV? I've never heard of any kind of limitation on cable. Does it exist?
Just trying to learn all I can before I switch.

Well, what do you have right now on TWC? You are correct in that you only can have 2 HD streams
incoming at the current time, a 3d watchable only HD stream will be rolling out to many users shortly. ![]()
Edit: Your other post says ATT told you, you are 4100' away, so what gives?

Please NO SD stretch-o-vision or 480 SD HD Channels

You understand correctly. Once your stream limit is reached, the only way you could watch an additional HD program would be if it were a recorded one.
Since you are considering a switch, what are the limitations of your current service?
Edit: wow, Chris and I posted simultanously.
