I changed some network configuration tonight and my outside IP address changed. Unfortunately, my dynamic DNS service did not update my zone records.
I have temporarily moved DNS for uverserealtime.com and my other domains to GoDaddy, and the proper IP address is now in the DNS records. It may take a few hours for this to propagate to other DNS servers.
However, the site is up, and once the DNS change propagates you should be able to access the web site.

Which is one of the many reasons why I wish AT&T had not branded that ADSL2+ service as a "U-verse" service. It confuses everyone. The FTTP service has more incommon with the VSDL users than the ADSL2+ users do.
Can you get AT&T Uverse Voice VOIP with the ADSL2+ U-verse HSI service?

If you need anyone to help test the lastest version of your software I have the 3801HGV RG and would be more than happy to help you correct the calculations for the software. Keep up the great work and expect a donation shortly.

I am very happy to announce that the U-Verse Realtime website is now reachable on IPv6.
If your computer has access to the IPv6 internet, http://www.uverserealtime.com will resolve to both IPv4 (A) and IPv6 (AAAA) addresses, and most computers will prefer IPv6 over IPv4 if you have an IPv6 connection.
If you want to test IPv6 specifically, you can reach the website at http://ipv6.uverserealtime.com, which only has an IPv6 (AAAA) address.
The U-Verse Realtime website will now tell you in the upper right-hand corner which IP transport your computer has used to reach the website. It will say "IPv6" in red if you reach the website via IPv6.
At this time, AT&T does not provide IPv6 addresses or transport to residential customers. But you can get a free IPv6 tunnel from http://www.tunnelbroker.net (Hurricane Electric Internet Services) if you want. Indeed, the U-Verse Realtime web site itself is running on a Hurricane Electric IPv6 tunnel.

I began to work on UVRT v1.7.0.0 over the weekend. I'm mostly doing bug fixes but I may also add some small features to the next version as well.
If anyone has any bugs or operational behavior they'd like addressed in the next version, please post here. You can also post a feature request if you'd like, but I can't guarantee that I can implement it.

Something I'd love to see is an addition to something already built into your application. I'd like to be able to see interface traffic data via a web browser on a secondary computer. I currently own two macs and am runnning uverserealtime on an old windows xp system and would love the ability to access the interface statistics remotely.
Thank you for creating such a wonderful application!

DVR space analysis shows that my hard disk size is 41.9GB. I have a VIP-1225 with a 250GB disk. Is there a problem with my hard disk or is this a program bug? I am using Realtime version 1.6.0.0.

Is that the "Total Space" or the "Free Space". If it is the Total Space, there may be an issue with the DVR. You might try a disaster recovery on your DVR to see if that makes all the hard drive space available.
To do a disaster recover press the Power, OK, and Up Arrow buttons on the DVR until all the lights are on, and let the system reboot. Please be aware that a disaster recovery will delete any recordings that are currently on the DVR.

It is total space. Free space is about 38 GB. I'll try the disaster recovery after I've watched a couple of shows that I've just recorded. (I just lost several recorded shows that just disappeared.)
This is a new installation - just installed on 1/25.

If the disaster recovery is not successful, you may have a bad DVR that needs to be replaced. Let us know how it turns out.

Thanks for your help.

I am about 95% done with the programming of UVRT v1.7.0.0, just one or two more small things to add. After that, there's documentation updates.
But I wanted to say that I'm extremely happy with this version of UVRT. I've implemented some long-overdue items in this version that I'm certain everyone is going to like. I said several posts above that I would be mainly focusing on bug fixes in this version, and it turned into the opposite.
I did fix some outstanding bugs, but additions and changes in features became the focus.
It may be a while before this can be released because the documentation updates are going to be extensive. But stay tuned ... it won't be too long. ![]()

Is there any way I can turn off the "video message from the author" on the current version? Every time I start the program it asks me if I want to watch the video. I keep telling it no.

You have to grant me a very slight amount of donation begging.

Once you watch the video once, it will not ask you again.

I have looked into the possibility of smartphone applications, including iPhone and Android. However, developing for these platforms is a large undertaking, and is probably not something I will be able to do any time soon.
However, you can turn on the embedded web server and open the proper ports on your firewall (instructions are in the ReadMe documentation), and use your smartphone's web browser to get some information from UVRT on your smartphone. You can get DVR information as well as channels/streams information. The embedded web server will work on almost any smartphone.

If you create a small API in a future version I'll develop a simple iPhone app.

I just wanted to let you know that a tech came and replaced my VIP-1225 box and it fixed the disk size problem. Shortly before he arrived the box stopped functioning altogether.
The new box hasn't lost any recordings yet, but it is annoying that series that are set to record often fail to show up under scheduled shows. It's about enough to make me return to Directv. Anyway, that discussion is best left to another thread.
Thanks again for the help.

U-Verse Realtime v1.7.0.0 is released.
The program (.exe installer) may be downloaded from the U-Verse Realtime web site.
If you have already installed v1.6.0.0 or earlier, you can install this version on top of it and it will upgrade. Previous versions will also auto-update to this new version.
U-Verse Realtime is a standalone program that can retrieve information from a typical residential installation of the AT&T U-Verse IPTV system. Some of the information displayed consists of VDSL line analysis, network interface data rates, DVR information, and STB channel and stream information. This program requires that your U-Verse Residential Gateway (the 2Wire 3800HGV-B, 3801HGV, 3600HGV, or i3812V) be running firmware version 6.1.9.24 (3600HGV/3800HGV-B) or 6.3.1.47 or higher (3801HGV/i3812V) only. Previous versions will not work with this program.
U-Verse Realtime v1.7.0.0 is the evolution of the previous program, 2WireRealtime. The new features added to UVerse Realtime expand its functionality beyond simply looking at statistics from the 2Wire router, so the program was renamed to better reflect its scope. 2WireRealtime will not auto-update to U-Verse Realtime, you must download the new installer.
Fixes and New Features
- Fix 3801HGV & i3812V bit allocation analysis, add Over-Allocated bits category
- Fix lag on typing IP address into 2Wire router field
- Change "router uptime" label on Error Table tab to "error totals collected for"
- Change highlight color for error table values to be consistent with other highlighting
- Change/Redesign Interfaces tab with new Total Data indicators and flow graphics
- Change/Redesign bitloading X-axis with better delineation of frequencies
- Change/Redesign auto-updater, can now apply channel database update without restart
- Change/Redesign auto-updater, program updates download in background and are verified for integrity
- Add download progress indicator for program updates on Config/Versions tab
- Change location of saved application data to common application data folder to avoid problems with some anti-virus programs
- Change unknown channel submission process to a fully automatic method - no user input required
- User no longer needs to enter zip code to submit channels to database, zip code now determined automatically using IP Geolocation
- Change Manufacturer URL in Add/Remove Programs (Programs and Features) to www.uverserealtime.com
- Add verification dialog box for web server port/password parameters, prevents starting web server on a port already in use
- Add actual router uptime on Error Table tab
- Add cross-hairs to Bitloading graph to assist with pinpointing frequency interference, user-selectable
- Add right-click context menu to system tray icon with Restore and Exit options
- Add additional highlighting of errors to error table
- Add update summary to new configuration tab, with Check for Updates Now button
- Add "What's This?" link to Profile Selection area of configuration, with explanation window
- Remove requirement to run as Administrator
- Remove "Auto" from profile overrides, change profile overrides to profile selection, simplify selections
- Remove 13/1.5 profile recommendation for 3600HGV, 3600HGV can now be used for up to 32/5 profile if the line can handle it
- Remove highlighting of incorrectly provisioned line on Bitloading graph based on Upstream 0 band, US0 can now be used in a variety of installations
As always, please post here with any comments or bugs.
