The twenty game blackout is now over since the last game was this afternoon. I ended up getting tickets behind home plate from a relative for today's game so the final blackout did not affect me.
I would think that there is no reason for further posting on this thread unless someone can think of something that has already not be said.

Only if FSMW pulls another stunt like this.

Your really blame FSMW? How come all the other providers were willing to pay the fee.
Uverse seems to think they are special and above the rules that apply to others.

I don't know that there are "rules", and U-verse was not the only provider that did not agree to pay additional fees above the contract amount to receive those games.

Yes I blame FSMW. They are the ones causing other providers to raise rates. When you have a signed contract in hand for serveral years worth of service, then decide you want to raise the price because you picked up a couple extra games is pure B S. They broke their contract and are completely at fault. It's not the first time they've pulled a B S stunt like that, it happened to the St. Louis Blues as well. As long as providers pay the extorsion fees then they will continue to pull those stupid stunts.

I blame FSMW also. FSMW raised cost when they received an additional 20 games from KSDK. They blocked the 20 games since AT&T already had negotiated a price to carry the channel (FSMW wants to treat the channel like PPV events). And then when FSMW lost one of the games to ESPN, FSMW picked another game to blackout out to spite AT&T customers. In theory, FSMW should have gave back money to all the providers that paid for that game.

I doubt the contract was actually broken. During the games in question, the screen didn't go blank. FSMW still provided alternate programming. It just wasn't live baseball.

A question was posted on Cards Talk, the Cardinal forum on Stltoday.com, regarding future U-Verse blackouts on Fox Sports Midwest for 2012. I have not heard if there has been any progress regarding this matter for 2012.
I would imagine that something will be posted on the Cardinal or Fox Sports Midwest web site regarding the blackout situation before the regular season starts.

I am not complaining to FSM. The contract did not originaly contain the additional 20 games and now that it does it obviously should be a different price. If Att was not full of incompetent people this would not be a problem. This is the final straw. ATT is such a joke of a company, I have been with them 2 years and have had nothing but a headache with the joke of customer service. One day they took money out of my account, next day shut me off, then it seriously took them three days to even find me in the system that I was a customer. They did the same thing to the company I work for yesterday. Just a complet joke and that is not even half of it. {keep it courteous} Yes, thats the answer, send your customers somewhere else. Dont give them what they want. Dont try to settle a dispute so your customers get what they want. Way to go, That is the perfect example of the customer service I have had with ATT. Im calling Dish this morning. Hey I can even have more than 5 recievers going, something else ATT failed to mention when I swithed.

Here is a St. Louis fool telling you the same thing. I doubt you are a real U-Verse subscriber. Why would you put up with two years of misery since you state that AT&T is full of incompetent people? If I was as unhappy as you claim to be, I would have switched long before two years were up.
Are you from St. Louis, or do you just want to find fault with U-Verse? You claim that U-Verse not carrying the 20 disputed Cardinal games is the final straw. This also happened last year. Why did you not quit U-Verse at that time?

It's easier for some people to continuing to complain than it is to take action to change a situation that they don't like. If you are unhappy with the situation, take some action! What's the point of continuing to be unhappy and trying to make everyone else unhappy?

Are you really an employee of AT&T, if so and you are encouraging people to leave I have to agree with the previous writer, {please keep it courteous}. If you worked for my company I would fire you immediately, apparently the training for customer service is far different at AT&T than it is everywhere else in the planet.

Yet another uninformed poster. According to your message last year, you were switching back to Dish Network. Perhaps my advice to change providers if you are not happy is not so crazy.

Thank you, I will. Enjoy your complaining! It's interesting how unhappy people come to the forum to attack other members who have no control over what they are complaining about. Sad.
By the way, how is Dish Network working out for you?

I had no idea this was going. Tried to find the Cardinals game on UVerse last night, 04/10/12, and all I found was a bunch of UFC crap!!!*$%#!!
So, FSN wants UVerse to pay more money for 20 games, UVerse said no, and now we can't see 20 games on UVerse. But Charter, DISH, etc.. customers can.
AT&T UVerse are you listening? This is unacceptable. Like many of you, had I known, I would not have switched to UVerse. This stinks.
Does anyone know who and how to contact AT&T UVerse to voice our dissatisfaction with this situation?

Courteous? Who or what was not courteous? We're just speaking the truth.
Speaking of courteous, how about letting your customers know the games that are going to be blacked out? And maybe a message or trailer on the FSN channel stating that the game is blacked out so we don't go nuts trying to find it?
How about some customer service?

I am not a Cardinals fan so I have no axe to grind. But it sure seems to me that when EVERY other provider in the Stl area has the games the blame has to be put at the foot of A&T. It's like Hallmark. How is it that Uverse is the only provider that doesn't carry the channel. Even tiny providers like WOW cable have Hallmark on basic cable.Hallmark isn't a deal breaker to me but come on.

The Cardinals list 21 total providers who have elected not to pay the additional fee that FSMW added mid-contract for these additional games, so it's not "EVERY other provider."

This is now season two for the black out. Its really disheartening that you come home from work and all you really want to do is watch the baseball game and find out oh look its not on. Its bad enough we have to pay to watch TV and now our provider does not want to pick up the last 20 games. Way to go ATT. And I agree with the other posters its really hard to be nice when you get blacked out games in return for paying your bill. Thanks again ATT maybe it is time to go back to another provider.......
