Uverse screws up again - FSNSW Spurs?

San Antonio.

Spurs website and U-verse program guide lists tonight's game to be shown on channel 756 (our in market channel).  What do we have?  Women's college basketball.

Checked with my father-in-law down the street.  Somehow Time Warner Cable gets it right.  I've got to go down there somebody else's house to watch the game on a competing cable company's system. 

Anybody have the same problem tonight?

U-verse ticks me off again.

I'm in Houston and my guide shows that to be the spurs game. I'm not in market so I can't see what's acctually on. Was it also being shown on a local channel?

Where are our Spurs?. There is girls basketball,the same game, on three stations. Get it Right for a change. You are finally listed in the TV Guide but waht good does that do if you can't get the programs right?????????//

I know it is frustrating, but they have had it right for a while now. Don't get me wrong, I would be mad too if I was there and couldn't see the spurs.

Edit: If this happens again, or you can even try tonight if you want, call tech support and request to talk to Tier II (just to save you some time) then tell them what the issue is and that you have verified that the Spurs game is correctly being shown on that channel through another provider, and they can probably get the issue fixed before the game is completely over.

Actually, it's being played on your local CBS affiliate KENS -- hence the 'blackout' on FSN 8)

Drat, I looked at this post midnight and thought you were probably referring to 03/07-- and sorry to be dense, but was the video Women's college basketball or did the guide have it messed up?

A friend tells me U-Verse/FSSW finally switched on the Spurs game sometime during the second or third quarter.

Oh well, my father-in-law and I get along quite nicely and had a good visit -- thanks to Time Warner Cable.

Since we were watching it via Time Warner Cable, that person most likely did not know where to look for the game.

Somehow, Time Warner Cable in San Antonio managed to insure they received the proper FSSW feed and U-Verse did not.

Oh ok, so Dish, Uverse and the "one" TWC customer just happened to pick up the wrong feed but the rest of everyone else didn't? It is more likely that FSSW sent out an inconsistent blackout flag to the service providers. If this happened, it is completely possible for peope in the same city, with the same services (since they base their blackouts on zip codes) to get different end results.

My provider is U-Verse.  They didn't provide the game at it's appointed time in it's appointed channel.

Time Warner Cable in San Antonio did.  I don't feed oats to no dead horses.  You shouldn't either.

All I'm saying is you are making it a Uverse issue, when other providers had the same problem. That to me is not a uverse issue, regardless of whether the horse is dead or not. I don't feed oats to dead horses either, that's why I have Uverse and not cable.

Look, if other U-Verse/TWC folks in San Antonio had an experience different than mine, let them post.  I was mad last night, righteously so.  This morning, the sun shines bright.

If other San Antonio customers had a different FSSW experience with these two providers -- the one which failed and the one which didn't -- that provide insight to us and feedback to U-Verse, fine.  More than fine.  I'll just sit back and take notes.

I thought I would put my 2 cents in.  I also was very upset last night and this is just one more problem with ATT uverse.  I submitted an email complaint and called them.  At first they said the game was not sold out and then it was a problem with their contract with Spurs which are both ridiculous answers.  Also if a game is blacked out, it will say on your screen it has been blacked out in your area.  Not show a girls basketball game that is also showing on another channel.  Following is the email answer:

"Thank you for contacting AT&T U-verse Member Care. I know how frustrating not being able to watch the Spurs game can be, and I would like to apologize for the problems you are currently experiencing with your AT&T U-verse services.

Unfortunately, we were showing the incorrect game at that time. We were made aware of the issue and it was corrected by approximately 8:30pm (just after half time)."

I talked to friends and it was showing on Time Warner at the correct time.

Well, I got home about 8:45, turned on 756 and there were the Spurs in all their glory.  Didn't know it was not on earlier.  Re: the TV listings in the Express-News -- they list the Spurs on channel 753, but they will always be on 756 unless there is some screw up.  What I can't understand is why it's not on 1753 HD.  At least they admitted their error!

I didn't say there was anything wrong wtih you being mad last night. I said I would have been also. I'm doing exactly what you said the others are doing, trying to find out what kind of issue it is. If it's a Uverse issue, then we know to hound them out if/when it occurs again. But this one seems like a higher level than that.

If you don't want people responding with possible solutions/reasons then don't post. You can't cancel out certain opinions of what the cause seems to be because it's not the reason you wanted.

Yeah -- there was nothing on FoxSW HD last night as far as I know (btw, had the same issue on TW, so probably a Fox policy/problem)

I feared that this whole FSN channel reassignment was going to be a major problem. 

 Being an Astros fan, I watched fsn ch753 and  HD ch1753 for all Astros games last year...but now we have 753 as fsn Dallas, 755 as Houston, 756 as S.A and Austin.....and still only ch1753 HD for WHO KNOWS WHAT.

This whole fiasco probably deserves it's own thread.

Ch 1753 should be the HD channel for whatever FSN decides to put on their HD channel. I don't believe that FSN offers all of their programming on any given night in HD yet, so this channel shouldn't have overlappiing programming yet.
