Hit MENU on remote, then scroll over to Video on Demand, then scroll down to 'Search Video on Demand'.... you can use the number pad on the remote to type in titles and names (like you're texting), but it only works well if you have the new update in the stb, otherwise the remote lag makes typing in titles impossible.
