I know on the internet, Accuweather's radar can be up to 15 min late. If you pay for the plus version, you can get up to the minute radar. Since Uverse is paying for this weather service, I would think they would get the up to the minute radar (or maybe they're too cheap
). Also online, you can get a very good metro radar w/ upto a 15 min delay.

I sure was happy looking at all that ground clutter around the metroplex.
Commercial radars take that and electronically erase the ground clutter and show the weather (rain/snow), I know from experience, NOAA doesn't eliminate the ground clutter on their radar, so I don't like it as much. The weather app should give us a choice of a metro and regional radar view and accuweather has these views, Uverse should get these views for us. Since they are paying accuweather for this, they should be able to get the up to the minute data accuweather has for paying customers.
Chris

I cannt think of anything at this point that makes it cool. When it happens i will report it. FYI it takes 21 seconds to load WOD after it says press ok to start it... In Dallas we have a couple of local 24/7 weather channels that are real time. It would be Cool if we could get this instead. The channel #s are 5.2 kxas and 8.2 wfaa
I bet one of those is the NBC feed that has mostly national weather and just local canned inserts every 10 min or so, our Channel 4 (wdiv) here in Detroit runs that on one of subchannels. Wow, 21 seconds, that is a real downer!
Come on Mr. pessimistic, this is a big improvement over the Ubar weather(?).

I say while we are waiting here in the Central states for the Weather app and WHDVR, I hope to have all the kinks worked out before it gets to me.
Nothing like all the mass nick knacks that would drive me crazy. Ill just wait patiently for a better version......I hope.
Thanks West coast for trying it out, and the feedback!

None of these posts are recent but they are still valid! I've been a Uverse customer for 2 years and the biggest disappointment in their service is their 'Local Weather" and "Weather on Demand". First, why is Weather have to be "Interactive" and "On Demand"? It should have it's own dedicated channel and it doesn't have to be HD. Second, why does it take multiple programs to load to get to it? Third, the only thing that is "local" is the weather observation provided by the nearest airport and some of that is questionable. (Get to that in a minute). The radar provide by Uverse is regional, meaning it is multi-state and useless for any real local interpretation. Fourth, there is no local warning alert when a severe weather warning is put out by the local NWS. Fifth, now to the local weather observation....The pressure is shown in inches (fine) and Kpa. Wrong! All pressures are reported as either inches or Hpa. The wind is shown as miles per hour (ok) or kilometers per hour. Wrong! Winds are reported as miles per hour, nautical miles per hour (knots) or meters per second, Next, where is ACCUweather coming up with their "FEELS LIKE" temperatures? They are way over-inflated compared to the Heat Index that NWS puts out. I'd like to know how they come up their "FEELS LIKE" temps.
I was a Comcast customer prior to Uverse and I like Uverse but Comcast is far superior in the local weather support compared to Uverse.
Hey AT&T - Here's what you do: Fire ACCUWeather, terminate the contract with them and get a contract with The Weather Channel as Comcast did. Accuweather may be cheap but it's making dumb, rookie mistakes and I know you can do better. You'll upgrade the weather support in a big way. Remove weather from the interactive list and give it its own channel, and as I said, it doesn't have to be HD.
