I continually get errors when attempting to access the U-verse Web Remote Access page. I try to go into the Guide and keep getting the message "We're Sorry Your settings could not be retrieved. Please sign in again." I sign in again and get the same message. Is anyone else having the same issues as me? Thanks!

No problems here with the WRA. Are you using the primary log in on the U-verse account?

Web Remote Access (WRA) is only accessible with the primary account log in. It does not work with sub accounts.

Same problem here. Just started today. Went through this ~2 yrs ago. tech support was convinced that it was somehow a problem with my system [although dozens of people were reporting the same issue, all begining on the same date!]
It was eventually resolved after a few days. Hope it doesn't take so long this time!

I've had this problem for months now, even tier 3 support couldn't help. They used my username and password and got the same error messages. I created a sub account, same problem, same error messages. Very frustrating to say the least.

I just got off with tech support again. The only solution would result in all of my recordings being lost from the DVR. Somehow the DVR isn't communicating and that's all they can come up with. Bummer

ralphmans - Something is out of synch. Try this link -
http://att.my.yahoo.com/
Try the sign-on on the line that begins Categories. If you get signed in I will try to tell how to get to the DVR from there. See below -
The first page the sign-in is actually above the "categories" line. If you get signed in it moves to above the category line.
The objective is to get a U-verse block on that page. If you do not have one click on content. Look to the right for att/yahoo services - click that. You will get 6 of 27 possibilities. use right arrows on page to go to end to find u-verse. Click to add u-verse.
Click + in square to open u-verse. Click my dvr Click view all at bottom. You are at scheduled shows & have choice of guide & Recorded shows.

gs It shows me as logged in with my AT&T account and all I see is that lovely family watching TV. I still don't understand why I can access my DVR with the U-verse app on my iPad and iPhone but not from any computer. Even going to the AT&T website with the iSwifter browser app on my iPad gets me into manage my DVR.
You do have Uverse High Speed internet, don't you? If not, you don't have Web Remote access. ![]()

aviewer,
I did what you suggested, same error message different page. I can go on "U-Verse online", see Watch Now U-verse TV Guide My U-verse Upgrade U-verse TV and everything works fine until I click Guide then the error message comes up.
Your settings could not be retrieved.
Your personal settings could not be retrieved. Please reload the application.
I can click and browse everything, Online TV Voice My Account but the Guide tab just gives me that error. Using the U-verse app on the iPhone and iPad lets me in without any problems. I've this problem on and off for a couple of years, first the main account didn't work but a sub account did, the guide was greyed out, same error message (your settings could not be retrieved at this time....) and I couldn't access it. Now neither accounts work, same errors for both. I don't want to do a rip and reinstall, especially when this might or might not fix the problem.

Look at the text on the left to see if your ID is correct. Maybe it is the sub account. If it is not correct (main acct) you need to ask for it to be fixed.
Try pulling the plug on the DVR and leave it off for 30 seconds. This is supposed to fix a lot of DVR problems without erasing recordings.
Then call in again & ask them to reset the Yahoo side. Since it works with your iphone ipad & there is no problem signing in to your account it must be Yahoo.

I brought up the ubar and I get this....
Page Load Error
error: system failure 1001
sorry for the technical difficulties.
Try back later
All other aspects of that area work fine... weather and YP.com
I restarted the DVR also removed power for over 1 minute, same error message as above.
Went to att.my.yahoo, logged in and tried to access my DVR, "an error occured while retrieving your scheduled shows"
back to square 1
I contacted Yahoo a couple of weeks ago and their response.....
Since your request pertains to your att.net Internet Service, we ask that you contact the AT&T Customer Service center for further assistance.
Last time I contacted AT&T tech support, here is what they told me...
Before we can escalate this over to our partners at Yahoo we have to exhaust all troubleshooting efforts on the AT&T side.
I'm sure the rip and rebuild is one of the "troubleshooting efforts".

I still don't understand why I can get on my iPad, use the u-verse app, look at a program I'd like to record, push the 'record' button and the DVR immediately starts recording, yet I can't even see the DVR on a pc. When you do a web search for "your settings could not be retrieved at this time....", why do so many other people have the same problem? My problem can't be that out of the ordinary can it? What happens if I totally wipe out my DVR and I still can't access it remotely afterwards? I still believe that it's not my DVR considering I can access from a uverse app.

ralphmans - I agree that it is probably not your DVR. I think the broken u-bar reinforces that. nut I am sure if the DVR is involved with U-bar.
I believe at&t has to fix your Yahoo interface. The reason I gently pushed to reboot the DVR was just to get by it.
Just in case the u-bar relies on the RG - Pull the plug on the RG & DVR & STBs, Replug RG & stabilize, same for DVR, then STBs.
Or, Can you disconnect or unplug the DVR and try the u-bar from an STB. If broken -
call at&t again with the broken u-bar complaint & see if they wil work with Yahoo to fix it. Say DVR is not being used - ubar should work without DVR. No need to reboot DVR.

I was on with AT&T tech support again last night. All of a sudden my modem rebooted all by itself therefore losing connection with tech support. Once modem started working, got a hold of tech support, he couldn't figure anything out. Went up to the next level where she didn't think the ubar has anything to do with my problem. She tried logging in with my password, couldn't do that. She 'tweaked' something on her end and then all of a sudden they had some sort of a power outage. Spent the next several minutes trying to log in, couldn't go past the main att.my.yahoo screen until AT&T rebooted. We gave up for the night, tried this morning after clearing all cookies, history, temp files etc. I was getting some sort of a SAML 2.0 login problem... https://login.yahoo.com/saml/2.0/att/saml_validate
I'll try the suggestions you just gave me later on today.

Nope, nothing changed. U-bar still doesn't come up, DVR on, standby or not plugged in at all. Rebotted the modem, DVR unplugged... nothing. Maybe it's time to contact Yahoo again and see if they'll attemp a fix. In the meantime I can use my iPad or iPhone to schedule my recordings.

Since you have a u-bar problem perhaps if you just address that you can avoid the reboot DVR step. Once that is fixed, if the DVR is still a problem, you will have to reboot.
I believe if you do not have the correct name in u-bar. Yahoo cannot communicate with you.

Sorry but that is a load of crap. How come I can access my DVR via smart phone but not a website without Uverse Internet? If that is a limitation it is really stupid. I pay over $100 a month for the highest package that AT&T offers and I can't access the DVR using a browser?! That is unbelievable.
