Thank you for the info, too. After TWO 30 minute telephone conversations w/AT&T UVerse Technicians, they still could not tell me what happened. The most they assumed was that it was under contract negotiation. Really sad and frustrating when the techs and service reps can't provide decent and knowledgeable assistance.

Most AT&T call center personnel don't even have an inkling of what Uverse really is. They have to go by the "picture books" AT&T gives them. I'd venture a guess, that if you found where every one of their boiler rooms are located, the vast majority aren't even IN an area served by Uverse, so it's not like they can go to a training or breakroom TV and flip through the service.
Don't worry, though ... it was hard enough for me one time with Comcast, to get the CSR and the manager to actually GO to a TV and check what I was telling them -- and the call center was actually IN metro Detroit, and HAD Comcast service in that town. It was funny, while being frustrating, though -- the "manager" telling me repeatedly I was wrong ... well, until they actually went to the TV and checked it out, and saw that I was RIGHT all along.
The techs and CSRs aren't really at fault. After all, look who trained them -- it's those "supervisors" who you get thrown to out of frustration. How is it THEY know, but it's the fault of the people they supervise?

Does anyone know why they all disappeared? My wife used them every day and there are none left? Is it permanent?

They haven't dissappeared. Currently there are 20 categories each with several shows. How are you navigating to the Exersice TV channel.
On Demand --> Free Shows --> By Network --> D-G --> Exersice TV.

What happened to the On Demand Free Exercise TV? That programming was changing my life. I was getting up every day at 5:00 a.m. to work out - it was really helping me stay committed to working out - AND I was buying some of the videos from there. Is it coming back? What's up? PLEASE BRING IT BACK. You would be amazed at how many people I have turned to that channel - I thought it was one of the coolest things about U-Verse.

In the past ATT offered programming on vod and every few months it would get pulled. We figured ATT was updating their vod offerings because after a week or so they would be back. I don't know how long it has been since the programs were pulled on that particular channe. Up to now I haven't heard a clear explanation as to why ATT does this.

There seems to be a "linkage" problem in the VOD lists, which is very common. Comcast had the same problems, where if you went under one category (like "Top Picks"), you'd see a certain list, but if you went under "TV Entertainment", you'd see those listed but additional ones as well. Movies were a common problem with this, in that you could search by Genre, but if you went to "Free Movies" and selected "All" (or "A-L", and "M-Z"), you'd find some that were unlisted in the other category.
The FULL Exercise TV listing MUST BE ACCESSED, for now ... once again ... by this method:
ON DEMAND button ---> arrow over to FREE TV ---> arrow down to BY NETWORK ---> OK/SELECT
arrow down to D - G ---> OK/SELECT ---> arrow down to EXERCISE TV ---> OK/SELECT
There are 20 categories, and just by going through a few, I'm seeing close to (if not more than) 100 selections.
It's looking like people aren't reading the entire thread, but merely registering and saying they have a problem. ![]()

What is going on with the Exercise T. V. shows? They are getting harder to find and everytime I go on, there are less shows to choose from?

The Exercise TV On Demand channel shut down as of December 31, 2011. Here is an excerpt from the article found in the link below:
ExerciseTV, the popular on-demand channel for workout videos on many cable and satellite networks, announced today that the channel and accompanying website would be shutting down Dec. 31.
In an email to customers and posted late Friday on the home page of its website, the executive team of the network, created by Jake Steinfeld of Body by Jake fame, said that while the on-demand channel and website would be ceasing operations next month, some ExerciseTV workouts will still be available on iTunes and through Amazon.

Who the heck needs Exercise TV anyway? As lazy as most Americans are, it's no surprise this venture went bye-bye! Besides, you can just join a gym!

There is definitely something happening to Exercise TV. No, it's not listed under Health & Fitness anymore, but once I did locate the listings, I went through and counted: 9 categories, but there are only six unique videos in total. Those six videos are listed multiple times under the nine categories. Hope every likes bellydancing because that's about all that's being offered at this point. I don't know what's happening, but I'd like AT&T to bring back the number and variety of videos they had before.

AT&T cannot bring back Exercise TV because as of midnight December 31, it no longer existed. Read the link to the information that Texasguy37 gave on the other Exercise TV thread.

Ok so what is really going on with Exercise TV. Yes it is still there but with only about 8 exercise videos. Is it being phased out or what? Let the people know.

Do you even bother to read earlier posts? Read my post above yours, and go to the link that I provided. Then you will have your answer.

Happy New Year to you, too. Sorry about the way I posted, but my earlier post above yours was an hour and fifteen minutes before yours. I am not singling you out, but a lot of people, especially new ones to this forum, post without reading earlier posts on the same thread or another similar thread.

There should be a suitable replacement out there somewhere! Good grief. It's ideal for days I'm unable to get to the gym and as a supplement! There is not one exercise program available in all the UVerse programming. I'm am a bit ticked at the free selections available!

I remember the old days when ESPN had all of those exercise shows by the beach. They always had really hot women. There was another exercise show that was headed by the extremely beautiful, Kiana Tom.
I used to watch those shows for a few minutes while I got ready for work. Now I watch Fox News as a substitute. It is a good substitute since Fox News is known for its hot chicks, too.

Exercise TV is no more as a result of it being shut down by the people who run it (not shut down by AT&T). See Texasguy37's post on either this or another thread with the same subject line where he sites and article pertaining to this fact.
There may not be any replacements for Exercise TV that actually exist..

Exercise TV ceased operation as of 12/31/11. Fit TV (channel 466) was rebranded as Discovery Fit & Health on 2/1/11. See the thread below:

Boy, this internet thing is so elusive to some people. Didn't even BOTHER to look through the other forum posts.
9th thread down, the big one about Exercise TV, and starts a new post.
