Back on here in NW Ohio. Thank god we were not watching anything like a ppv or something we bought like a movie. Hopefully they have it fixed for good now.

This is a bunch of {edited for word filter evasion} I had a all my friends over to watch the finale of the UFC Ultimate Fighter onm Spike and right before the final fight the TV stops working! Everyone had to leave, talk about embarassing! AT&T WILL be making this up to me! I have food and beer, EVERYTHING, and the most important fight of the show, we don't get to see!

Nothing I've tried has worked! Waiting to chat with Tech for almost 30 minutes.

Why does AT&T do upgrades at the stupidest times 11:00 PM 12/14/2011. Was watching Michigan state football game and I get message “Television signal has been lost” right at 11:00PM. I change to other channels and see pixilation or just a black screen. So I know better than calling and speaking with first level support because they are useless and have never resolved an issue, I always ask for 2nd level support. I powered cycle Gateway and unplug all three cable boxes once I have internet back I plug in all three cable boxes and I still get the same “Television signal has been lost” or pixilation or just a black screen on all three TVs. So I called AT&T tech support and I have u-verse TV and Internet but each and every time their voice response system ask the stupidest questions after business hours of course I want tech support who the heck calls at this time of night for anything else since all those departments are closed anyway. The first message I hear is that AT&T is doing an upgrade and I should unplug my box and wait 5 seconds and plug it in again while I already did that and AT&T still has issues then AT&T transfers my call to tech support and I get a busy signal and 5 seconds later AT&T disconnects me. I called AT&T again hear the message about the upgrade then AT&T transfers my call to tech support and I get a busy signal and 5 seconds later AT&T disconnects me. Well I gave it one more try and I called AT&T are 11:27PM for the third time and this time I do not get disconnected but sit waiting on the phone for 31 minutes when I had enough of this I hang-up just fed up with this lack of quality service and support. Not once in my three calls to AT&T did I get to speak to anyone and my AT&T still has issues on 10 channels. AT&T knows when people call and hang-up as well as power cycle their devices you would think AT&T would use that knowledge to see what is going on in that region and look into the issues and resolve it. In addition, how about doing the upgrade at 4:00 AM in the region when the majority of the people are asleep not to interrupt what they are currently watching.

Had no trouble recording the MSU Wisconson game on Fox 2 here in metro Detroit and there was no upgrade during it. Generally upgrades are after 2am local time and not at 11pm.
Did you actually check the lights before/after on the RG as it sounds like you actually lost service and got red lights?
I'd contact David and his tier2 team here:

Follow the directions under TROUBLES w/UVerse or install problems and hopefully they will solve your problem, let us know what happens. Remember it's the weekend and they won't see the email before Monday, so calling is pretty much your only option before then. Good luck. ![]()

Had the same stupid problem, I lost signal, rebooted everything including RG and nothing. I called and got the same responce about an upgrade in my area. I tried to connect with tech support but due to high call volumes there would be a long wait. So I just shut the tv off cause I know if I got tech support, it would be someone from a third world country that I couldn't understand or they didn't didn't know what they were doing.

The problem was with most of the AT&T HD channels. I have had AT&T u-verse for more than 4 years. Also I do not utilize RG cable in my house, all my boxes are connected via CAT5 cable which I installed throughout the house then tested and certified with my Fluke meter. I have no issues this morning. Every issue I have ever had with AT&T u-verse has always been outside of my home somewhere on the AT&T network and the majority of the time it happens on the weekends. I just called at 12:56PM and if there was no upgrade why does the AT&T message state the software upgrade has been pushed to receivers and you should disconnect the power for 5 second and reconnect? In addition, each time I call AT&T it still asks me “I’m I calling concerning order #” why does it keep doing this?

The reason I’m with AT&T u-verse is because their internet is 10 times better than Comcast and Wide Open West internet. I just hate the AT&T IVR system customers should never be disconnected it is time for AT&T to upgrade their IVR system.

Assume you mean DVR? It runs on MS MeadiaRoom 5.0 on Win CE, so major upgrades might occur if/when we move to 6.0.
No company can say they do not get interruptions of service, they all go down at some points in time. ![]()
Edit: Follow the directions for Mr Voice Recognition (IVR) in my sig, it should always get you a human to talk to from your menu choice.

Chris, I think Unhold means Interactive Voice Response, which some call a telephone tree & some call interminable wait.

Well it's doing it right now again here in metro Detroit and is affecting me now. Locals are OK, but everything else is Black or get a bit of stuttering.
Must be a problem w/National VHO, but c'mon Uverse get your act together or biil yourself as a third-nation TV proivider w/all of these problems lately. ![]()
Edit: Weirdest thing is I'm recording Covert Affairs on 1124. All the FF is perfect, but Play just keeps breaking up/stuttering. Erased that one and am watching Warehouse 13 that started 12 Midnight and is OK so far.

They must be working on something (good?) since again, all program synopsis are missing. A reset late yesterday got them back, but they're gone again.

A reboot didn't get anything back, called tier1, waited for abt 20 she didn't know anything. Then transferred me to tier 2 and sat on hold for abt 15 more mins, but checked and most had come back, so I hung up.
Well, just after I hung up, they all went out again. Called tier 2 back directly abt 3am all Nat channels came back except E!, Com, SyFy, ESPN, Ver, all HD I checked.
As of right now, all are back, hung up from tier 2 wait queue. ![]()

Seems to have been a dodgy week. I can't speak for others, but since around the third (The OPs day of posting) I've had all channels, movie channels, all non-local channels, or other forms of the cable fail. Today the internet speed crashed for some time, then straightened out, then went intermittent again. Almost relieved to hear this isn't a personal equipment failure!
Edit: Ah yes, forgot to mention the gateway resetting on its own at one point, also a minute long update that oddly only occured on the DVR, though I may not have witnessed it on my other sets.

I've been experiencing some issues lately in the Cleveland, OH area: one time a new screen came-up on my TV stating the signal was lost and steps to follow but I didn't show LOS on Realtime stats. Also picture quality doesn't seem as good and the sound seems lower than before and poor quality, especially earlier in the evening, and it really seems to really fluctuate when going to commercial. I was about to call CS but maybe this is a bigger issue. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

Check and make sure all your connections are tight. And doing a soft boot of the stbs and RG would be a good idea also. If you still see the issues give ts a call.

Just had CNN HD say "channel lost" on Wednesday morning around 2:00AM EST. It was the only channel effected, tuned to HLN then movie channels all were fine.
