Why don't ATT Uverse carry PPV events other than wrestling?

Why don't ATT U-Verse carry PPV events other than wrestling? Steve Harvey is airing his FINAL stand up event tomorrow night, Thursday, August 2, 2012 on PPV and every other PPV outlet is carrying it BUT ATT U-Verse. That is appauling especially when ATT is supposed to be the TOP DOG! I'm very, very dissappointed in this and SERIOUSLY considering returning to COMCAST. If this is what I can expect, I know I am going back.

I AM EXTREMELY UPSET ABOUT THIS. WHY PAY FOR A SERVICE IF YOU CANT WATCH WHAT YOU WANT. NO VARIETY AT ALL. I WILL BE SWITCHING BACK TO DIRECTV.

I too am VERY DISAPPOINTED. Even ANGRY. I will begin to investigate my options. I don't patranize businesses who exhibit these types of decisions. And I think we all know what type of decissions I'm speaking of.

3 iPhones w/ ATT service. Home TV package and Internet via Uverse, 2 iPads with AT&T service....and I can't order a dam $20 PPV comedy show? Unreal. I may have to deal with the DirecTV outages during storms. This makes no sense.

I signed up for this community thing today just so I could post my dis satisfaction. No Steve Harvey....your kidding me!

I am so very disappointed with AT&T 's decision not to carry Steve Harvey's last comedy special! I never order anything off of PPV, On Demand, etc., but the one time I decide to do so I can't even do it!!! Personally, I think it's because of the low price of $19.99 instead of the $50+ plus charges for wrestling.. Just so mad right now, ugh!

Seeing as how every post in here was made by a user created within the past day...I think one person has way too much time on their hands. Nobody cares about Steve Harvey, including AT&T.

Please tell me why ATT did not carry Steve Harvey's Last stand up on PPV? You advertise Rethink Possible????? I am so and and disapointed with this decision, especially after calling your office and no one could assist me with a satisfactory answer.

I was not pleased that U-Verse was not offering this PPV event. I know the bottom line would have benefited from this showing and no one would have been disappointed. AT&T did not get this far by making bad decisions and this was one that did not have to been made. I can't see DirecTV, and Cox being more progressive than AT&T so just tell me why all the U-Verse customers were not given the opportunity to see this funny man. I know after working for AT&T for 32 years that we can do better than this.

contract restrictions prevent certain events such as this one from being shown. att has no say over this.

It's not so much the event, but the channel that is missing. All PPV events are connected to a 'linear schedule' just like your local ABC station, HBO, CNN and apparently there is not a carriage agreement between AT&T and the station offering the event..

For example I would personally love to see the new season of Doctor Who in HD this fall, but AT&T only has an agreement to carry an SD version of BBCAmerica.

Alex are telling me that somebody actually reads that survey? I'm going to need proof since not one channel I've ever requested has shown up on Uverse.

Submitting a request does not mean that the channel that you are requesting will be added. Because the channel that you request is not added does not mean that your request is not seen.
