Absolutely ridiculous, I had Comcast at least 10 years prior to Uverse, And I have never seen a San Francisco Giants game blacked out, Matter of fact I have never seen a ESPN channel black out.
I live in Fresno, Ca and the game was in St. Louis, Missouri, according to "Google Map" that's about a 1,951 mile drive. Was I expected to drive to watch the game? Or I could of went to my brothers and watched on Comcast. Or maybe next time I can just get Comcast instead.
I too, called technical support, it was a complete waste of time because all they could do was tell me it was blacked out. No kidding I can see that!! I was trying to tell them it must be an error. But it was to difficult to understand for someone in India and someone else in the Philippines.
Also check your channel line-up.. You might not be getting channels your supposed to get.. Especially sports channels..
I am on the verge of changing back to comcast..

If Uverse doesn't meet your sports needs, if that is so important, then maybe Comcrap will be a better fit for you. For me in the Detroit area, all I care about is the Tigers, Lions (ha-ha), Red Wings and Pistons and I see their games, not blacked out (except the NFL sell-out rule and it's the Lions anyhow), so Uverse fits my sports needs fine (plenty of Nascar racing on Fox, TNT, ABC and the ESPNs). ![]()

A couple of questions for you. Was the game broadcast on Comcast Sports Net Bay Area in your city of Fresno California? And the Giants and A's are considered in your home market correct? If you don't know you can check at MLB.com. I checked a Fresno area code and found the Giants and A's as the home market teams. If so the ESPN feed would have been correctly blacked out. MLB blackout rules are kinda hard to understand but if the game is being carried by ESPN and a local Sports Network at the same time the local Sports Network, in the teams home market, will have the game and ESPN will be blacked out. For example I would get to watch the game on ESPN, which I did, in Chicago IL because I am not in the Cards or Giants local TV market. You for example would get to watch the game on CSN-BA or whatever other local station had rights to carry the game and not ESPN because the local market trumps ESPN. Fox is a totally different monster and I am not going into that.
