My email has been hacked and my contacts are getting fake emails from me, like someone is using my account. I changed my password and they still are doing it. I deleted all my contacts and they still are sending emails, what do I do?

Are you using a good anti virus program? Run a scan and see if it detects anything. Also download and run the free Malware Bytes program. It could be a virus or trojan has infected and taken over your email.

Only way you can tell that your email is hacked, is that the items sent, would be in your sent folder. Follow the info over at majorgeeks.com or malwareteks.com regarding checking your system for baddies, and making sure that it is clean.

I doubt your e-mail has actually been hacked. Some spammer is simply sending out his own spam e-mails and forging your e-mail address as the return address. There is nothing you can do about it. Your friends need to make sure they're using good anti-malware programs and if their ISPs have spam filters, they need to make sure they're turned on and activated.

How do I check my recent log-in activity. I googled it and some people apparently are able to check when and where their account has been logged into but I can't seem to find how to do that.

You can't with yahoo, but google, you can. I never use yahoo's website for email, I always send through Outlook. Follow the info over at the two sites I posted, and the info they have on how to check your system to see if it is compromised.

If you have Yahoo mail you can check your recent log-in activity. This is what I do, although there may be a shorter version.

Log-in to your Yahoo mail account.

Go to Options, located over on the top right.

Click on it to bring up Mail Options.

Click on that to bring up Account Info.

That takes you to a page where you will have to sign-in again.

Then you will see the "Yahoo Account Info" page.

Scroll down to the Sign-in and Security section.

There you will see: View Your Recent Log-in Activity.

Click on that to see the latest dates and times.

Hope that was helpful, and not too confusing or complicated. That is the information I found when I was searching for hacked email info for friends a couple of months ago.

Something is not right if you use and ATT.COM email - I have had mine and at least 5 others that use ATT.COM get hacked in the last two weeks ! So it can not be random ! Of course NO word from ATT - thankfully usually if you change your password it is fixed - BUT if they have been hacked - they could send out a notice !

How would AT&T know that your email has been hacked?
