I seem to remember back when I got my Uverse internet installed, this app was on a disc that came with the Uverse start up kit. When I asked the installer about it his answer was something like "trust me, you don't want to install this." So I threw it out.

Yes, if it is called "Self Support Tool" it is the same one.

There is no way I would install that.

I remember, back in the DSL days when I had to "upgrade" my account for the Yahoo interface, there was some software that was a required install. So I go my old Win98 box, retrieved it from retirement, and installed there to do the upgrade. There was no way I would install in my main desktop box.
