Hello,
I recently got my internet connection installed at home. Within a week i started facing very weird problem. Even though my computer tells me that the internet is connected, i am unable to open any website in the first go. After refereshing the page for like 5 to 10 times, the webpage opens. Sometime it happens that i am playing a video on youtube which is buffering properly, if i try to open another webpage in a new tab, it would fail to load.
I am absolutely clueless about this problem because the internet is connected and i am getting appropriate speed too, still a lot of very common websites like google.com fail to load in the first go. I am using a macbook (firefox, google chrome, safari) for opening the webpages. Another friend of mine connected to the same network, who is using windows PC is facing the same kind of problem too. Can anyone help me in solving this issue? I have called att customer care and they told me that they would send a technician and if the problem lies in att equipment, i would not be charged. I want to confirm whether this problem lies in the gateway or in my machine? Is there anything that i can do myself to solve this problem?
I am using at&t u-verse connection, 12mbps speed and Motorola NVG510 modem.
Thanks
Vatsal
