what is the status of the 5.1 surround sound breakup?

I have seen posts over the last 2 years or so about the 5.1 surround sound breakup with UVerse. As far as I can tell, this is still not resolved, but it seems that the threads on this issue have all been closed. Is there a solution?

My equipment still exhibits this problem, I have a Motorola set top box with a Yamaha RX-V667 receiver. The surround sound breaks up about every 45 minutes or so in bursts of about a minute, where the sound breaks up for a fraction of a second

Nothing has been officially announced but some subs post that they bought specific surround sound receivers and the audio drop outs went away.

I can tell you that my $1500 denon 3808ci has the audio drops. I'm so glad that I switched from directv so I can listen to my $6000 sound system in stereo. Has anyone heard of a fix for this?

While I feel sorry for your situation, I'm sure you switched for many reasons. If one negative outweighs a positive, you are free to go to whichever provider you choose. U-Verse does not make customers sign contracts.

Most channels I do not have this problem on, but I find that the Encore Channels, and the non-HD Starz channels are really bad, It's gotten to the point of being unwatchable on those channels, and I have to just turn off the sound system & listen to the sound through the TV.

i have had the problem since Sept 2007. Onkyo 7.1 - Uverse cannt fix it or it would be fixed by now. Some of my channels work some dont...
