I really would like MLB too. I hestitate to leave ATT because my local cable doesn't offer NFL Network and that is more important to me than MLB. Recently ATT added three separate channels to cover the Masters ( I could care less about golf) but no MLB?!?
The least ATT could do is tell us what the hold up is or if there is a plan to add MLB.
Many of the channels on the "sports" package have content blacked out due to league constraints and many have content I don't care about ( golf, auto racing).
I guess we all just have to continue to send messages to ATT requesting the MLB Network.

I agree AT&T U-VERSE really need to think about adding MLB & NBA NETWORK. I came close to cancelling my account. I had those two network with another cable provider and really enjoy watching thosr channels. All my buddies have switched from AT&T U-VERSE because of that. My son is a huge baseball fan,he keeps asking me when i'm switching back. It's at point were i'm have too. AT&T you really need to listen to your customers!!!!!!

MLB network is a must for any baseball fan that's for sure. Right now i can only listen to it via Sirius radio, but that's better than nothing i guess. I really don't want to switch to another provider right now to get it. Hope U-Verse will surprise us all soon and add it to the line-up.

It is pathertic that AT&T wants to become a major player in the television field but doesn't have the MLB Network. However I will stick with thenm for the time being-unless someone local gives a deal like TW is giving .

Do we really need the 3000th thread started about MLB Network. Seriously, U-Verse doesn't have it, probably won't have it this year and who knows if they're going to get it. See the previous 3000 threads on this topic.

I have posted many times on this subject and I am making this one my last. I am a huge sports fan and I would love UVERSE to have all the channels discussed and all the sports packages plus some other additions. The truth is that I am staying with UVERSE because the other systems are crappy, and the people at UVERSE understand and have made a deal with me that made it possible for me to keep UVERSE and get Directv until all is added at UVERSE. I think what a lot of people forget is that UVERSE is a very new player on the market and very shortly when they have the customer base all the channels will be added. If you dont think ATT has made an impact take a look at Time Warners desperation with Comcast probably not far behind. Talk to Customer Service. They will work with you. But cut them a little slack. THey have just over 2 million customers in a little over 3 years. They will add what we all want and be a major player. And if they dont I am sure they will know by the customers actions.

Dish Network is a major player and they don't have MLB network either. I would rather AT&T play hardball with providers if the other option is yearly (or more frequent) price increases to cover all of the additional channels.
If MLB is a deal breaker, go for one of the providers that MLB is pimping on their site.

Except we really have no idea what the heck the hangup is between U-verse and MLB Network. It might be price, it might be a refusal to carry Extra Innings, it may just be spite and or bad blood between the powers that be at both entities, or it could even be something else entirely.
At least when the cable companies and the NFL network had their standoff, the cable companies cared enough to give reasons as to why there was a carriage dispute.

If 3000 doesnt do it then we need 3001 or 5000 if thats what it takes. AT&T is turning a blind eye to their customer base and as a result will lose 1000's of customers. Then again, they have a service where people across the street from one another have a situation where one person can get it and another cant and thats never been rectified so why are we surprised. I cant wait much longer, I want baseball! And not the local Ohio crud I get fed on a nightly basis. Guess they dont need my money or other baseball fans money for that matter.

Since this is a Peer - to - Peer Forum and not an AT&T forum, posting new threads about one channel or another isn't going to do any good, none of us on here can do anything about it so all you are doing is wasting your time.

I understand that but since it is a peer to peer forum then this is the place the vent, correct? Whether it matters or not is beside the point.

I agree---AT&T created this forum for customers to communicate with their peers. Venting about the lack of MLB or any other programming issues is fair game. Whether or not someone from AT&T tunes into these forums to read customer feedback is irrelevant.

You're fundamental mistake is thinking that more threads will change anything. If 3000 doesn't do it, do you REALLY think that more will? Really?
AT&T is turning a blind eye to their customer base and as a result will lose 1000's of customers.

You can demand the "Mother Channel" if I can demand the "Father Channel" that way we'll have both parents covered.

What did you do to get UVerse to allow you to have Direct TV until they supply MLB? Did you sign a contract with Direct TV?

The League's blackout the game, not the TV company. I'm sure ATT would love to have the ability to show all of the games. But the leagues want you to pay extra money for the out of market games. It's the same as when I had Dish Network.

When is ATT going to wake up and give us MLB TV HD ?? Every other provider in Connecticut has it.
I PAY $163.12 A MONTH which includes internet. I deserve to MLB HD.
U-Verse is EXPENSIVE.

Not true. Dish Network does not carry the MLB Network.

A distinction without a difference. It's a wire that carries TV to my house and, in the long run, has to be competitive with other wires that carry TV if it is going to continue to grow.

All TV providers, including the Satellite companies, use "wires" to provide service to your TV. There is no reason to exclude Satellite companies in any discussion concerning TV providers.

PlayStation 3 to Stream Pro Baseball Live
Mark your calendars baseball buffs, because Sony's bringing Major League Baseball to the PlayStation 3 and you'll be able to sign up for the service by the end of this week. According to the New York Times, Sony and Major League Baseball are joining hands to offer out-of-market baseball games live over the Internet courtesy the PS3. The move comes just a few months after rumors that rival Microsoft was courting ESPN to stream live sporting events on the Xbox 360.
