My Laptop was stolen along with a Vizio tablet, GPS, tools and $1600 in Travelers checks in my backpack by looters during the Wichita Tornado. I have provided police with an AT&T IP address for the location of the stolen lap top. I am tracking it daily and providing police with this information concurrently. I spoke with detectives after a month of inaction and was told it may take months for AT&T to respond. What if this was a kidnapping? Gee AT&T expects immediate payments. It is a couple of computer key strokes to cross an IP address to a physical location so police can get a search warrant. Case # ***** Sedgwick County (KANSAS) Sheriff department. I am going to the TV stations next and State- AT&T claims great services in their ads.
and AT&T wants me as a customer??? every day they delay they are protecting theives. The sheriff department inquiry was on law enforcement letter head and to a special FAX number just for law enforcement.. Any IT provessionsal will tell you an IP to physical location should take 30 seconds and a few keystrokes... I think AT&T should be charges with accessory to the crime if they delay any more... Justice Delayed is Justice Denied!!!
