Email support, email not working after password change

It appears ATT has given up the idea of having any one with a basic knowledge base of their own systems.
I always interesting to see a web page that shows so little.
when you set up email for att.net pop3 inbound.att.net port 995 outbount.att.net port 465
Now when you change passwords on your account and it works in web mail but not in outlook??? change servers from inbound.att.net to pop.att.yahoo.com and outbound.att.net to smtp.att.net OR other direction if you were using att.yahoo as server names. This works! But don't ask att service because they don't know why. ..........ps on smartphones disable account, change password and then re-enable account then push,,, this works for iphone and samsung

What ever the reason, I was able to correct this problem by changing from POP to forwarding, saving the setting, and then reselecting POP and saving the setting.
This may have more to do with AT&T not offering POP EMail after June 11th 2011.
I recommend getting a free NON AT&T EMail account before AT&T shuts it down.
