I will make a few attempts to reach the powers that be at connectech...But I think contacting ATT will be easier and more effective. Att is going to get sick ant tired of dealing with all the calls and complaints. They have moderately successful internet ...phone etc..outfit to run.Who would want the hassle?? All I can say is I am just afraid no one will believe me as to how I was treated tonight. Our conversation went so bad that when our session ended ,I attempted to copy and paste our chat text...and he wouldn't let me ...took the mouse and for ..Seriously 3-5 minutes we battled over control of the mouse ..frantically..he would try X out and so I couldn't save the things that were said. I could go on and on.I believe this is how connec tech operates. Google connec tech and see what kind of things are said in the first 300 pages. It sounds like from the post of some workers (here in the states) it was an OK place to work until it was outsourced and moved overseas. I honestly think these are some jobs that WILL come back here to the states ( hard to imagine) but when the present service contract is up att will pony up the additional 5-8 an hour just to regain some credability .

I haven't experieced overseas support, but I'm having enough trouble with USA support to make up for it.. Not enough time to go into details here, but I am very dissapointed about the tech support follow up and mistakes with my change over to a Uverse internet connection. Bought the router from them and tried to install it July 13...Rep said he was sending a service tech to my house to make sure our line was correct for Uverse. Never showed up. Called and waited an hour tonight before getting another Uverse Service rep. He said that ATT never changed my account out of HSI to Uverse like they should had and didn't know why no one ever showed up to check our line. He said he was connecting me to the person that could fix it and would stay online with us... After 30 min. another rep answered and knew nothing about my conversation or person I had been talking to. Then she told me I would have to call HSI customer care during the day tomorrow to have the problem fixed.!!!! They close at 7pm CDT... I could have called them first if I would have known. There website is the biggest spider web in the world, and a maze as you keep coming back to the same place again and can't find your way out!

Here is a story for ya...I set up an appt online to get U-verse cable/internet installed. My appt was schedule for a week after I booked it. After patiently waiting for the day to arrive and having to come home from work for the scheduled 1-3 window when the tech was supposed to show up, he never did. At approx 3:01, I called ATT to find out where the tech was at. Now, I'm in Nevada and was dispatched to an office in Missouri. After waiting on the phone for about 10 minutes, I was connected to an operator and I asked when the tech would show up. I was told from the operator that due to a technicality, my appt had been lost and now I needed to reschedule. The customer service (and I use that term very loosely) rep said that she couldn't find my confirmation. Lucky for her, I had it right in front of me. I gave her the number and she again said, "It appears that your appt was overbooked and we cannot do anything about it. You need to reschedule and the next available appt is in 6 days." I asked the CS rep, "How do you lose an online appt? I even have the confirmation emaily that ATT sent me!" Her response was, "It looks like the appts today were overbooked. Do you want to reschedule your installation?" Needless to say, this banter went on for about 20 minutes. Finally I asked her, "why should I stay with ATT when this is how you treat your NEW customers?" Her response, "sir, its your choice whether you want to reschedule or not." At this point, I asked to speak with her supervisor. She said "OK" and immediately put me on hold.
When the "supervisor" got on the phone, she must have been reading off the same cue card, because her response was the same. Finally after 20 more minutes of getting no where, the "supervisor" said, "sir, I can transfer you to our customer service department." I was a little shocked because i had called the Customer Service phone number on the confirmation email. I asked her, "If you're not customer service, why am I talking to you?" Her response was, "I'll transfer you."
Finally I spoke with a very polite, professional woman named Kelly, who was more than willing to assist me with everything and actually told me what had happened. She apologized for the previous 2 conversations I had with the "customer service" reps and got me going.
As for the installation process, I won't even get into that. The tech was completely unprofessional. No personality and thouroughly looked like he hated his job and it showed. He left a mess when he was done working and when I asked him to help set up the router and security key, he told me to get the number off the router and call and have someone else do it.
I have to say, I'm extremely unimpressed with ATT so far, except for Kelly. It really is too bad that the only way an ATT customer can voice their opinion is on a message board since their customer service department has better things to do then HELP CUSTOMERS! Good luck to anyone who attempts to deal with ATT customer service. .

I have to concur with EVERYTHING you are stating in your comment. To add, I requested the corporate office number in Texas to be refused by three people. Do not even try the one posted on the internet -- it is bogus. Is it time to contact BBB?

I believe you as I have been there too. I would NEVER recommend ATT to anyone unless I wanted to lose a friend!

Just try to reach AT&t on the phone after 7:00PM at all!!!!!! I have had system issues, billing issues and tech Issues. I have only had this service for 4 months and it is the worst experience of my life!!!! I have customer service people telling me to call on saturday if the office is closed.. Well guess what? AT&T IS CLOSED ON SAT AND AFTER 7:00PM ON WEEKDAYS!!!! HEck MY VET OFFICE AT LEAST ANSWES THE PHONE AFTER HOURS! NOT THIS MICKEY MOUSE PLACE!!!!! what the heck thsy spending my money on?????????
I wanted to go with time warner for my set up and my wife wanted ATT, guess what , I am dumping this piece of dog excrement and will do with out if I have to!!!!!!!!!!
