att 1701 2wire modem

I have dsl internet through att.I have a 1 port modem that works fine.I wanted to hook up my other cpu so I bought this 2wire 1701 hg router on ebay.When I hooked it up everything worked fine as far as power is concerned but the middle light which is the broadband connection light stayed orange.the light is supposed to be green.So i reset it and still orange.is this due to the fact that i need to get broadband internet?is it broken?can you recommend me a modem that has wifi.please help

Hi,

Sorry to hear you are having this issue. This modem/router probably needs to be configured. Have you entered in the connection type PPPoE with your AT&T email account and network password?
