I've called ATT 5 times now to cancel my service. I no longer live at the address and have not for 5 months. Every time I call I'm told that this shouldn't be happening and that everything will be resolved. Still nothing... Now I get a notice in the mail threatening that it will be sent to collections. I've spoken to managers, received their direct numbers, left messages and nothing.
Judging by the other posts on this forum it appears that I am not the only one dealing with these issues. At this point I see it as harassment, fraudulent billing, and an absolute nuisance that this has not been resolved. [Per Guidelines: Keep it Relevant and Appropriate].
For further clarification, I did not have a contract for the service, it was a month to month plan. I paid every bill on time and even paid the first bill after I cancelled the service just in case.
How many phone calls does it take to cancel ATT DSL Direct service? If anyone knows please inform me.
