My DSL rate has jumped 25% with no change in service. Connection gets flaky if it rains for several days. Last month I received "hardware failure" message when running connection diagnostic. Was directed to get new modem at ATT store. Went to store and specifically asked if I could get a modem elsewhere for less. Was told I needed an $80 motorola modem, any other would burn out within 6 months. Took old modem to brother, he tested it, it is good. He laughed at me and showed me a Westell modem on Newegg for $26. Problem was with DSL switchbox. So I'm out $80 on modem AND I get 25% price increase. Calling customer service is useless as anyone reading this knows. Website also redirects you in circles if you try contact us links. Looking over these forums I see some people getting help from some "good samaritian" AT&T employees that hang out here supossedly after work. They tell people to check for a private message to get contact info to get help. Why does AT&T REFUSE to offer customer service over phone or website ? We all know the technology is there. The redirection is obvious and shamless. 99.99% of customers needing help will never know of "ALEX" or get one of his private messages. Utter contempt of customers by AT&T. The only chance of change is by goverment direction. I urge everyone to contact their legislators and seek relief. If nothing else the $$$ AT&T has to spend bribing congressmen might make them think about changing their attitude.

I see you're aware of Alex, did he contact you? If not, a link to him is in one of your other posts.
If you're getting connectivity problems with rain, that is something outside and ATT needs to come out and fix it. Alex can help with that.

Att is running a criminal act. I was paying $26 per month for DSL and now it is $43/mth. I never agreed to that or signed anything saying yes to that amount. They just did it hoping I would not look. I have filed a complaint with my States Attnorney office. Good luck getting anyone to pickup the phone at Att. I even had QD on the phone and they could not get someone to pick up. Went into to a ATT store same thing. I going to take my five phone and DSl and go to another company. To Heck with ATT.

ATT recently started charging our house with over usage fees. We used to pay $37/mo. DSL service for YEARS. Recently, and mysteriously, our data usage started to exceed max. monthly allowance. I have a password protected wireless router - password has never been breached.
Our bills are now averaging over $80 month! The ATT usage feature fails to provide any information. We're off the radar because we do not have a landlines??
And last, I have two tenants in the house. For the month of May, BOTH tenants left the premises. I do not own an Apple product, rarely am home...and yet, we still exceeded usage of over 250GB. Phenomenal!
If AT&T can not provide proof of this type of usage in my bill (where the heck is this usage coming from? Don't I have a right to know?), how can they charge for this phantom usage??? There is ONE person here, ONE droid NOT USING WIRELESS, ONE computer...I do not download music, videos, etc.

How did you determine that your password has never been breached and what does having an Apple product or not got to do with it?

Try contacting Alex, one of the AT&T Community Managers for further assistance.
