I share the same sentiments with some of you posters.
I truly do believe that as customers, we are being lured in with these 'false advertisements' such as internet prices only...I fell for that one and right now am being told ' the advertised price should show in 1-2 billing cycles'. What kind of sham is that?
Why advertise a certain price then bill another one? In order to get the internet special, you had to order it online, so I did. Well unfortunately, I had to contact customer service because the page froze once my order was submitted. How bout the representative tell me she couldn't honor my price since I called in ( to complain about website page being frozen and not receiving a confirmation # for order....i should have ran away then)? Well, since my order showed up in the system, it couldnn't be overrided so i thought. ...instead of $14.95 a month , im being billed $38.
Not only that, I was told I had to have their modem/router and would be billed $10 a month for the $100 equip. Ive been billed a $100 for the modem and still the $10 monthly installment ......Am I missing something or do they think we are just too slow to really look at the bill?
Well, not only did I not need their equip... I had my own router...it was sent in somebody else's name who I do not even know or resides in my household. Sent by UPS..It is still unopened. I have requested RETURN shipping labels and have not received it yet, but yuu better believe that bill and other misc information has come in the mail from them.
Yet ...read their policies on returns....what happens if its not received in a certain period of time, etc, etc.? Exactly, you pay for something you don't need or want...and its amazing how you can't return it w/o their authorized shipping label.
I could be a dishonest person and said it was never shipped to me considering it didn't come in MY name. But that tells you, I don't have a need for it and would not have requested something i knew I didn't need. So, I am not going to pay for the person's error who insinuated I had to have it in order for the internet to work if I had my own router.
I have learned that businesses are in the game of poor customer service and out to ruin your credit when you decide you don't want to pay for their 'poorness in service' and errors. That is the !st thing they threatened to do to you.
I've spent holurs on end being transferred to this department or that one, to be disconnected, told wrong dept, or its closed, or that its been sent in mail...Why do people have to lie if its noticed someone didn't do their job? Acknowledge it wasn't done and try to remedy the situation instead of passing the buck and creating a continous line of bull and waste of time.
Im glad i can vent about this and now go to bed...
Jus when you think the green is greener on the other side.... stay where you are.
I got on this blog because of another day of no success on the phone, no available agents for live chat, with the hope of a community specialist contacting me or emailing me with a label so I can return this modem/router as well as adjusting my bill because once my service is disconnected again for nonpayment of the modem, I am not going to care. Ill pay for the service and expect the special rate i signed up for as well.
